Med Brighton

Med Brighton is Will Dennard and Jack Southan's first grassroots restaurant after founding street food brand Wolfsmouth and kitchen concept Paradiso Social. Perched on Little East Street, it offers a relaxed and modern space to enjoy Mediterranean sharing plates. From rich greenery stretching across its walls paired with plush leather seating, to a quaint alfresco dining situation street-side, it's a spot that's easy on the eyes and that also happens to be ranked 11th in Brighton's Best Restaurants Top 30 list and features in the Good Food Guide. Look forward to tucking into the likes of Iberico cured meat, smoked mackerel croquettes alongside beetroot ranch and oyster mushrooms in truffled brown butter dashi and egg yolk, washed down with a Med Strawberry Spritz.

Pizza Pilgrims Brighton

The Full Pilgrimage £29.50 per person and 1 other offer

Spanning three floors of cute decor like gingham tablecloths, fairy lights, antique lamo shades and green shutters, Pizza Pilgrims is a super pretty place to dine in the seaside city. The pizzeria transports you into the heart of Naples while remaining on Ship Street in The Lanes - there's even an indoor football pitch so you can have a kick about with your mates before or after you've chowed down on signature slices. Whether you opt for a seat on the Amalfi-inspired mezzanine or get cosy inside, the hot honey and pepperoni pizza is waiting for you, along with a Nutella-filled dough ring for dessert.

Six

Located in Hove, Six is one of the most naturally beautiful restaurants around. The ceilings are covered in hanging plants, complementing the exposed brickwork and wooden beams. Menus cater for brunch, Sunday dinner, gourmet burgers and much more.

HarBAR + Kitchen

Found within Harbour Hotel Brighton, HarBAR + Kitchen is a playful restaurant that draws inspiration from laid-back beach vibes and funfairs to decorate its surroundings. Graphic, colourful pieces of art adorn the walls, along with bright wallpaper paired with quirky lampshades - the bar is sea-facing so you can soak up views of the Palace Pier with a tipple in hand. For dinner, the likes of fish and chips, cod and crab, plus spring chicken in pesto are on the menu, and a funfair afternoon tea is served from 1pm to 5pm, featuring mini cheeseburgers, candy floss and coconut meringue ice cream sandwiches.

The Set

Located within Cafe Rust and featuring cool stone, textured walls and rustic wooden tables topped with candle-lit and immaculately placed cutlery, The Set is something of a truly extraordinary restaurant. In a simple setting, you can expect to experience innovative plates of food, served as 14 to 20 courses during the evening to just 12 to 16 customers. The journey itself lasts between two to three hours, and the ingredients used are only the finest available. Inspired by travel, childhood and takeaways, and using fat, fire and unami, Michelin-mentioned dishes include tomato dashi, chicken tikka masala, sando and monkfish for £90 per person.

Burnt Orange

Proud owners of a Bib Gourmand and from the same team behind The Salt Room and The Coal Shed, Burnt Orange is a neighbourhood restaurant that's only a short walk from the seafront. Make your way under the baby blue pinstriped marquee and through lush green potted plants into the main dining area where textured walls and plenty of natural light await. The menu focuses on wood-fired flavours paired with exceptional drinks: mussels on toast featuring Urfa chilli butter are a firm favourite, alongside smoked miso aubergine topped with crispy onions, and charred hispi cabbage in a cider butter. And to drink? How about a margarita or a Burnt Orange Martini?
