Tapestry

A warm, welcoming neighbourhood bar in Hove, Tapestry is a cosy space where you can snuggle up with your other half on comfy leather sofas. Whether you're coming for a relaxed drink, a tasty sharing meal or even a hearty brunch, there's plenty to enjoy here.

You'll be surrounded by pretty plants and wooden furnishings, while sipping on signature cocktails or premium wines. As for the menu, expect scrumptious small plates like barbecued ox cheek flatbreads, seared tuna tacos or avocado crumpets with smoked aubergine.

Tempest

If Tempest's cave interiors aren't enough to get you canoodling in the corner with your other half, we don't know what else to say. This beachfront gem provides the perfect backdrop for your sultry night, where you can cuddle up and watch the sunset on the terrace, with a refreshing gin and tonic, or a cold pint of beer to hand.

Post House Cafe

Situated in The Lanes, Post House Cafe is a cosy space that's filled with rustic wooden furniture, pretty plants and pastel-coloured artwork by a number of local artists. Dating back to the 1870s, this building was originally a Post Master's cottage, having been lovingly restored across its two floors over the years.

They offer all-day dining and tasty baked goods, with brunch dishes and Sunday roasts up for grabs too. There's also a great selection of cocktails - our favourite is the hazelnut espresso martini.

The Grand Brighton

Treat your date to a tipple or two at The Grand Brighton's spectacular bar. With dark blue, striking walls and marble pillars, it's a foolproof dazzler of a venue that's bound to woo them. Sip on Moët & Chandon Brut Imperial or a glass of English sparkling wine. Better yet, explore the cocktail menu and try Le Grand Martini, a twist on the classic with dried raspberry, or the Ojo De Tigre mezcal and ginger beer-based Seaside Sunset.

Metrodeco

Take a step back in time and enjoy a romantic night out at Metrodeco. The 1930s-themed tea room is an enchanting date experience; complete with signature teapot cocktails and a charmingly quiet atmosphere. Decked out in multicoloured light fixtures, floral wallpaper and coral pink velvet chairs, this is the perfect spot to feel a little flirty in.

HarBAR + Kitchen

One of the best bars in Brighton's The Lanes, HarBAR + Kitchen is a sunny spot is a great place to clink glasses while taking in the breathtaking coastal views. Serving a fabulous range of innovative cocktails like a pink grapefruit margarita thanks to top-notch mixologists, it's an ideal hub to treat that special someone.

Six

With responsibly sourced food and gorgeous botanical decor, Six knows exactly how to set the mood for the perfect evening. Whether you want to kick off your romantic weekend with a top-notch meal out or are looking to impress on a first date with organic wine or a dark and spicy cocktail, this Hove haunt won't disappoint.
