If you're looking for free things to do in East London then head along to the vibrant arts venue and burger bar Rolling Stock on Sunday for its Jazz Train evening. Under the arches you'll be able to catch a diverse range of performances from musicians, and you'll even get the chance to draw them as art supplies are dotted around the venue.

The Horatia N7

Searching for free events in the capital? Look no further than The Horatia N7. This popular Holloway Road boozer is throwing a range of crackin' events across the top-notch space. Think live vinyl gigs and entertainment from The Ukulele Ska Collective. Booyah.

The King's Arms

Join cosy pub The King's Arms in Bermondsey for its Artistic Date Nights and Candlelit Tables as part of its Watercolour Wednesdays. You'll be able to receive a free art lesson with Bob Ross on the TV and at the end of the evening, you'll leave your masterpieces with the boozer to be framed and sold for charity. It's certainly a unique spot for a date night or even simply just a charming hang with friends.

The Star of Kings

If you find yourself wandering around Kings Cross on a Tuesday night, looking for a pub quiz, then head on over to The Star of Kings just past Coal Drops yard where you'll find a buzzing atmosphere awaiting you, full of revellers looking to test their knowledge in the picture round. Entry to the quiz costs £2 each and food is available from Mexican masters Breddos Tacos. What's more, if you're into a spot of singing, they even have karakoe here.

What Does Not

What Does Not is hosting RAW: Uncensored Storytelling, Art and Music events where you can enjoy a completely unique evening of entertainment. Snap up free tickets (or go for a pay what you can option) to enjoy a fantastic performance of creative expression, complete with drinks, a DJ set and more.

26 Curtain Road

If you're looking for free things to do in London then join cool bar 26 Curtain Road for its Strictly Vinyl sessions, hosted on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Expect the likes of soul, hip-hop, disco and more, spun on a high-quality Hi-Fi sound system and rotary mixer, accompanied by craft beers and cocktails.

Feed the Vegans - Vegan Food and Drink Festival

@ Signature Brew Blackhorse Road on Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th June 2024

Taking place in Walthamstow, Feed the Vegans is a brilliant food and drink festival that's totally free to enter. This two-day event can be found at Signature Brew on Blackhorse Road, with some of London's best street food vendors in attendance, as well as fresh vegan beer brewed on site. You can also expect DJ sets 'til late, keeping the party going all day and night.

The Horse & Groom

Hit up The Horse & Groom on Curtain Road to get down to some vinyl-cut beats, thanks to its free DJ sessions on the weekend. Expect to hear the sounds of the 60s, 70s and beyond as top talents hit the decks. What's more, this cracking boozer provides some great grub, like pizza from Yard Sale, alongside refreshing ales and pints, so you won't be going hungry (or thirsty for that matter).

The Star by Liverpool Street

Taking place between Thursday and Saturday every single week, The Star by Liverpool Street's Open Karaoke is a totally free event that gives you the chance to be in the spotlight. Whether you've got the voice of an angel or you're just looking to let loose, there are over 20,000 songs to choose from here. The microphone is ready and waiting, so get ready to take centre stage.
