London's Best Burgers

Well bur-gger me. No food is more convenient, chomp-worthy, most-likely to result in mess and completely and utterly satisfying than a big ol' burger. The rise of said burger has been one of great acclaim. Who does it better? Is that candied bacon? Do you use caramelised onions? Are there pickles involved? All of those questions are about to be answered for here lies our selection of London's best burgers.

BrewDog

The craft beer bros might be famous for their IPAs and chicken wings, but their food offering is also worth a trip to your local BrewDog. Alongside beefy bites, the spot has plenty of vegan alternatives - and what better than a pint of Punk to wash it down?

Burger & Beyond Shoreditch

Inspired by all the burger capitals of the world, including Miami, Vegas, Berlin and London, Burger & Beyond is making its stamp on our city's patty and bun scene. Get your smackers around the Bacon Butter Burger (£12.50) featuring their signature dry-aged beef patty, oozing with double American cheese, burnt butter mayo, onions and crisp pancetta bacon - phwoar. Or if you're partial to poultry? Try the Krispie Fried Chicken (£12.50) on for size, made with miso maple butter, ranch and crinkle pickles.

Blacklock Shoreditch

When it comes to meat, Blacklock really know what they're doing, sourcing their native and rare breed beef from Cornwall's oldest family of farmers and butchers. Make your way to their Shoreditch outspot (which boasts trendy interiors made up of bare-brick walls and leather banquettes alongside mid-century-style tables and chairs) to try their one and only bun - The Blacklock Burger (£13). This beauty is a double cheeseburger 'Blacklocked' with vermouth-caramelised onions. You can also pair that with beef dripping chips (£4.80) and their own-brand Blacklock Lager (£4.5) for the perfect feast.

Bleecker

After moving to London in 2012, Zan Kaufman started slinging out burgers from her food truck, where her delish patty and buns quickly gained a cult following. She now runs a permanent restaurant in Victoria, as well as Old Spitafields Market, where you can sink your teeth into their iconic, award-winning buns. Here, it's all about the beef, so you'll find juicy, rare-breed, dry-aged patties cooked fresh to order, nestled within a sesame seed bun with sauce and American cheese. A classic cheeseburger will only set you back £8.95, although you can also opt for extras like bacon, blue cheese and more.
