Founder Tom Monaghan was at Patty&Bun from the very beginning and spent 10 years helping develop the brand before deciding to set up his own brand in 2023. Since then Meltdown has served up delicious burgers at festivals, private hire events and has residencies at The National Theatre and The Miller pub in London Bridge. “At Meltdown we aim to serve burgers and sides of the highest quality, and we only use ingredients that are UK sourced. We work with Farm Wilder who source sustainable meat, farmed in regenerative, 100% pasture fed systems that are restoring wildlife. From wildflower-rich coastal heaths to ancient wood pastures, our beef comes from farms that walk the line between rewilding and farming.” They have plant based versions of the meaty dishes so good news for Hackney’s thriving vegan community, and they have gluten free burger buns available upon request, so the menu can be GF too.
