1864 Rooftop Bar

Is there anything more romantic than gazing at the London skyline while sipping Champagne with your special someone? At 1864 Rooftop Bar, the answer is no. Whether it's a first date or a much-needed date night, this spot combines low-key intimacy with high-end vibes.

Order a cocktail each, split a grazing board, and let the view do the rest - just don't forget to sneak a selfie before the sun dips.

The Alchemist London - Monument

When it comes to mixing up chemistry, The Alchemist Monument doesn't stop at its cocktails. This dazzling City bar is all about smoke, mirrors and a touch of theatre, but date night here is more than just a show.

Sure, the main space buzzes with energy, but wander over to The Negroni bar side and you'll find a handful of gorgeous little nooks that are just begging for stolen glances and whispered conversations. With dim lighting, killer drinks and a sprinkle of alchemy in the air, it's the kind of place where sparks fly quicker than a flaming garnish.

Seed Library

Created by the award-winning Mr Lyan and his talented team, Seed Library can be found in the basement of the stylish hotel One Hundred Shoreditch. The late-night bar promises live DJs, world-class cocktails and a relaxed, intimate vibe, with plenty of cosy corners to relax in.

Their drinks menu focuses on heritage ingredients inspired by classic cocktails, whipping up unique twists on traditional concoctions. There's also a hand-picked selection of beers and wines, as well as a rotating selection of dishes.

Stables Bar

For a truly romantic evening, The Stables Bar at The Milestone Hotel offers an elegant, intimate setting where history meets sophistication. Nestled in a newly renovated space that once served as the original stables, the bar combines rich dark wood panelling, leather banquettes, and stylish tartan furnishings, creating a cosy and luxurious ambience.

The bar's extensive drink list features innovative cocktails and a curated selection of fine wines and spirits, while the elevated bar food menu from Executive Chef Daniel Putz adds a gourmet twist to classic favourites. For those seeking a more private experience, The Hideaway offers a candlelit, secluded space perfect for intimate gatherings.

Found

Found is tucked away beneath Ravey Street, and is home to some of the finest cocktails in the area. With a short but sweet menu of unique drinks offering a novel take on classic concoctions, hide yourselves away in one of their cool alcoves and enjoy some much needed alone time.

135 Bar & Lounge

135 Bar & Lounge is the place to be for anyone who loves the finer things in life. Located in the up-and-coming area of Stepney and Bethnal Green, this intimate bar draws on the glamour of 1930s speakeasies to create an exclusive, members-club-like experience.

From the plush seating and vintage décor to an extensive drinks menu, every detail has been designed to transport you to another era. Whether you're here for expertly mixed cocktails, small plates featuring artisanal cheeses, or just to unwind to live jazz, 135 offers an unforgettable experience that's bound to become your East London favourite.

Coupette

A sophisticated hideaway in Bethnal Green and Soho, Coupette oozes French glamour with its impressive cocktail menu and enticing selection of bar snacks. Nights here will consist of enticing creations inspired by regions of France, such as the truffled white negroni and Champagne pina colada.

The New York Bar

New York Bar Cream Tea

For couples seeking a stylish and inviting bar to unwind, The New York Bar offers the perfect blend of elegance and comfort. Located in Victoria, this sophisticated yet relaxed venue provides an ideal setting for a luxury date night, after-work drinks, or even a pre-theatre dinner.

The cocktail menu at The New York Bar is a journey in itself, featuring everything from signature classics to modern mixology, along with infusions and table theatre cocktails that will delight both the eye and the taste buds. For a romantic touch, couples should definitely try the Espresso Martini, a must-try alongside a selection of Classic, Champagne, and Vintage Martini Cocktails.

Stanley's

Part of The Chesterfield Mayfair hotel, Stanley's is a gorgeous rooftop bar that looks out over the city. It was named after Stanley Tollman, who had a lifelong passion for hospitality, cocktails and good food - reflected in the quality and atmosphere of this destination.

The blossom trees, glowing marble bar and amazing views create the perfect atmosphere for couples. Savour signature cocktails like the cherry blossom cosmopolitan or a watermelon paloma, paired with small plates such as Devon dressed crab, chicken satay skewers and aged cheddar toasties.

Larry's

Sun, Sips & 25% Off Cocktails This Summer!

Looking to add some extra elegance to your next date night? Get down to Larry's for live jazz in the historic vaults of the National Portrait Gallery.

Every night, from Wednesday to Saturday, Kitty & Nick take to the stage to rattle through big band classics and soulful standards. As you're transported back to the heyday of the speakeasy, you'll sip on old school cocktails and striking signature serves.

Disrepute

Inspired by Soho's heyday, Disrepute is an intimate and plush drinking den that's got some stories to tell. Set in the former home of The Pinstripe Club - the starting point of one of politics' most outrageous affairs- the bar commemorates 60s hedonism with gorgeous decor and potent drinks.

Sem's of Mayfair

Tucked away in The Chesterfield on the quiet streets of Mayfair, Sem's delivers style and sophistication with its signature serves. All dark wood panelling and leather-bound armchairs, it's just as suited to a morning coffee date as it is an elegant evening over cocktails.

If you're making a night of it, small plates and sandwiches pair perfectly with a choice of tasty tipples, from worldly wines to smoky old fashioneds. On Wednesday, live jazz adds even more ambience to your dreamy date night.

Equal Parts

All reclaimed lighting, warm raw plaster and vinyl soundtracks, Equal Parts is a dream spot for your next date night. With experimental signature serves in a Grade II-listed building, it's the perfect blend of rustic charm and Hackney cool.

Whatever number date you're on, there's plenty to fall in love with on the drinks list. We're talking short, boozy classics and one-of-kind creations, from the olive-oil-washed vodka martini to the scotch bonnet-infused raw chilli paloma.

Joia

This rooftop bar and restaurant scores top points for views, cocktails, food and interiors – now that's what we call impressive. Look out onto Battersea Power Station from plush pink seats while making your way through signature cocktails and small plates like carabineros prawns to braised Iberian pork cheeks.

Bambi

A buzzing new arrival on East London's bar scene, Bambi is built for romantic nights out. With a custom high‑fidelity sound system and wall‑to‑wall vinyl, the music is always on point to set the mood.

If you're here for a dreamy date night, there's plenty to love. Think cauliflower cheese arancini, Thai short-rib salad and sea bass ceviche, perfectly paired with natural wines and aperitivo cocktails.

MUSE at RSA House

Tucked inside RSA House just off The Strand, MUSE is one of London's most romantic cocktail bars. With its soft lighting, plush surroundings, and quiet charm, it's an ideal spot for couples looking to connect over exceptional drinks. Cocktails are made with love - from wild herbs to house-made distillates - all part of a menu inspired by the British Isles. For a romantic bar experience in London, MUSE is hard to beat.
