Located on Old Compton Street, Swift brings an elegant and grown-up cocktail offering, combined with the welcoming friendliness of a local bar. Taking inspiration from the European class of bar where a quick drink marks the end of the day or the beginning of the night, Swift sits effortlessly between a local pub and a reservation only bar, swooping in to join the cultural hub of central Soho.
Swift will run with slick service with two distinctive bars spread across two floors. Upon entry, guests will be greeted by a stylish and airy standing bar; the perfect place for those looking to fit in a ‘swift’ drink, whether a pre-dinner sharpener, a pit stop between bars or digestif on the way home. The upstairs menu will champion a core section of aperitifs, with a focus on Martinis, inspired by the enjoyment that sipping a cold, swift martini brings. A considered selection of small plates will also be available, including a choice of native and rock oysters, served with Nikkei sauce and shallot vinegar respectively and a Guinness Welsh Rarebit, with caramelised onion and sourdough toast.
Visitors who wish to linger a little longer can head to the Downstairs Bar to relax with an atmosphere and drinks list expertly curated to reflect a slower, more languid pace. Built for decadent comfort, with art deco sofas, table service and a drinks list that inclines more towards a darker spirit, guests can enjoy traditional serves with a contemporary twist. Alongside the mixed drink offering, a refined Whisky Library showcasing a range of interesting but affordable drams will be on offer. Specially trained bartenders will be on hand to guide guests through the extensive list and live piano music will provide a harmonious backdrop throughout weekend nights.
Owners, Bobby and Mia who have honed their talents at some of the world’s leading cocktail institutions between them, lead the direction of the bar. With stints at famous venues including Milk & Honey, Dead Rabbit and Callooh Callay, they have built a wealth of knowledge and cultivated a range of skills for which they have become renowned; meticulous attention to detail and service, and a simple and classic style of deliciously balanced drinks.
