Supermax is King’s Cross's best-kept secret - a late-night
subterranean cocktail bar hidden underneath Happy Face Pizza where
1970s Italian glamour meets decadent speakeasy.
Named after the cult Austrian disco group from the 1970s who had
a UK hit with their track ‘Love Machine’, this glamorous and retro
underground bar with a Milan-inspired interior and bold touches of
bespoke neon, leather, terrazzo has a spectacular disco ball.
Supermax is as passionate about music as it is about expertly
crafted cocktails. The music policy at SUPERMAX is
similarly considered, with a soundtrack that varies from Italo pop
and deep house to leftfield disco and beyond. On Thursday, Friday
and Saturday nights, DJs play into the early hours and guests are
encouraged to fill the dance floor.
The cocktail list is inspired by Italian glamour and signature
house cocktails include the overwhelming favourite - the
‘Maxcalita’, spicy, silky with a smoke float alongside a lovingly
crafted selection of delicious concoctions such as the flaming
Albicocca - with real flames and more..
With its sumptuous interiors, intimate booth seating and sultry
low lighting, Supermax is the ultimate Kings Cross discovery - best
shared only with friends and like-minded cocktail cognoscenti
