Nightjar in Shoreditch is conceived as an antidote to overcrowded West End bars and flashy nightclubs. As a destination for discerning drinkers to meet, linger and relax, Nightjar entices with quality cocktails, attentive personal service and a vibrant and varied live music programme. This is the ultimate speakeasy bar of London - descend the stairs and be prepared to be enchanted by a 1920's scene of candlelit tables, glorious tin cup cocktails, where jazz and swing bands will soundtrack your evening. It is seating only at Nightjar, so make a booking and soak up the magical atmosphere of this jazz and cocktail heaven. There is no other bar in London, let alone Shoreditch, like this.
We are open every day from 6pm til late. We currently take bookings 90 days in advance.
EARLY EVENING
Join us for an early evening drink. There is no live music at this time, just an array of fabulous cocktails.
LIVE MUSIC
We have live music every night from 9pm. A cover charge will apply for live music and this will be added to your bill on behalf of the band for live music. This is paid directly to the musicians who play live.
LATE NIGHT/SET
Join us for a late-night tipple. Sometimes there is late-night music - if so, a cover charge will apply for live music and this will be added to your bill on behalf of the band for live music. This is paid directly to the musicians who play live.

CANCELLATION POLICY:
Please let us know before 1pm on the day of your booking if you wish to cancel your table. After this a £10 per person cancellation fee applies.
If you are running late, please do let us know via email (info@barnightjar.com). We usually only hold tables for 15 minutes.

Nightjar is the perfect space for an intimate party or event for 90 guests or less. Our cocktail menu can be specifically tailored to your event and we can also provide delicious canapés. Our information pack in the Google folder below, which includes details of the hire fee, minimum spend and our current Hires Menu. Should you wish to have live music, we can also help you source the perfect jazz, swing or blues live music act for your event. Please see the final page of our Hires Menu for a list of musicians and bands that play at the bar regularly. If you would like to arrange a meeting to discuss your individual private hire, please let us know. We offer daytime viewings: Monday – Friday between 12-4pm. If you wish to proceed with a hire we will then arrange an evening booking for you to sample the cocktail menu.
