Word On The Water is a quirky bookshop stowed away inside a 1920s Dutch barge, found on a stretch of Regent's Canal in King's Cross behind Granary Square and The Lighterman. London's only book boat, it's well worth a visit, as you'll find an ecclectic space stocked with both new and pre-owned books, ranging from classics to cult, contemporary and children's fiction.

Events are frequent here too, from talks to live music on the barge's roof and even spoken work and poetry slams.
