The Big London Bake South

@ The Castle Tooting on Various dates from Wednesday 12th February 2025

There's nothing cosier than staying indoors and baking, and that's where The Big London Bake comes in. With marquees in Tooting and Hackney, these guys are offering a fun and creative activity where you'll work with a partner to compete against the other pairs to whip up a winning bake.

There will be 12 teams of 2 and 90 minutes to complete the task, with instructions and pre-measured ingredients ready to go once you've whacked on your apron.

Escape The Power Cut

@ Control Room B on Various dates from Saturday 15th February 2025

Head to Battersea Power Station to discover Escape The Power Cut, a thrilling escape room-style experience where you'll have 90 minutes to fix the power cut before time runs out. Work the original control desks, use your code-breaking skills, decipher cryptic clues and solve head-scratching puzzles.

While you put your heads together to complete the game, you'll also be treated to two cocktails each. Think tipples like the Battery Licker, made with rum, Disaronno, orgeat and coffee, or the alcohol-free Renewable energy, featuring Martini Vibrante, grapefruit soda and berry cordial.

Hollow Rocks

Ever fancied taking part in a sports day for adults? Then head to Hollow Rocks, the cool sports and social club in Islington. They offer brilliant team packages for anywhere between six and 40 people, promising a range of fun activities led by their coaches.

£50 per person gets you three to four hours of sports like athletics, boxing and classic playground games, followed by a cocktail or mocktail each - as well as freshly made pizzas and snacks.

Alcotraz London: Cell Block Two-One-Two

@ Alcotraz Penitentiary: London on Various dates from Wednesday 12th February 2025

Hidden away in Shoreditch is Alcotraz Penitentiary, which is more than just a themed cocktail bar - it's one of London's very best immersive experiences. Step into your orange jumpsuit before making your way inside the secret prison (smuggling your contraband liquor past the warden while you're at it), ready to carry out your sentence in one of the metallic cells.

Using your smuggled-in booze, the crooked guards will shake you up four bespoke, expertly crafted cocktails each, which you can sip as you delve deeper into the story of Mr Clyde Cassidy and his gang of bootleggers. Will you help Cassidy or become a snake in the grass and provide intel to the Warden? It's up to you.

Mr Fogg's Cocktail Experiments

@ Mr Fogg's Apothecary on Saturday 15th February 2025 and 39 other Saturdays

Get yourself down to Mr Fogg's, where you can release your inner Victorian scientist at their Cocktail Experiments sessions. You'll go under the wing of their budding pharmacists and learn the method to their mixology madness, learning how to create 'potions' (otherwise known as cocktails) that bubble, fizz and transform right before your eyes.

This quirky indoor activity takes place in Mayfair, with tickets costing £58 per person. Whether you're looking for a unique date night or fun birthday ideas, Mr Fogg's has got you covered.

Monopoly Lifesized

A classic rainy day activity is bringing out the ol' board games, but what if we told you that you could be the board game? Found in Fitzrovia, Monopoly Lifesized is an immersive experience that takes place on a real-life-sized 15m x 15m board where you'll roll the dice to move your token (choose from all the classics like The Boot and Scottie Dog). You'll get to complete escape room-style challenges, attempt a jailbreak, build houses and so much more.

It's a brilliant thing to do with family or friends, plus if you're in need of some post-game refreshments, then make a visit to Top Hat Restaurant & Bar. Here you can dig into themed dishes like the Hot Property (BBQ wings), The Water Works (fish and chips) and plenty more.

plonk

In Hackney, Shoreditch and Borough, plonk is home to some brilliantly bizarre crazy golf courses, featuring looming shark heads and volcanos dripping with lava, plus the Hackney and Borough branches also offer a range of arcade games to really get the competitive spirit flowing.

Whether you're looking for indoor activities in London for families, date nights or fun with friends, plonk's weird and wonderful venues will keep you safe from the bad weather, with plenty of drinks up for grabs too, including crafts beers and cocktails.

Immersive Gamebox

You'll find Immersive Gamebox in Wandsworth and Southbank, both offering some seriously fun things to do indoors in London. Get in groups of 2 - 6 people and jump into one of their hyper-interactive rooms to play a range of brilliant games using projection mapping, motion sensors and touch screens.

Whether you fancy trying out their Squid Game-inspired experience, hopping on a spaceship to Mars to help grow a human colony or testing your skills and knowledge in the Alien Aptitude Test, there's all sorts of fun to be had. There's even an adorable Paw Patrol game for the little ones if you're heading over as a family.

Electric Shuffle Canary Wharf

£15 Lunch Offer and 1 other offer

Electric Shuffle Canary Wharf has revolutionised shuffleboard, bringing a quirky, interactive version to a unique venue filled with industrial-chic interiors and fun neon lights. Swing by to enjoy a thrilling social experience playing on their boards, all while getting to know the fantastic menu.

Tuck into sourdough pizzas, falafel-filled flatbreads, tasty burgers and so much more, washing it down with a refreshing pint of draught beer or house cocktails - our favourite is the Solar Sour, made with Monkey Shoulder whisky, cherry liqueur, almond, lemon and foaming bitters.

All Star Lanes Bowling Alleys

There's nothing like getting together at a Bowling Alley to forget the miserable weather outside, especially when it's All Star Lanes. You'll find these stylish entertainment destinations across Holborn, Brick Lane, Stratford and White City, offering retro-style bowling lanes where you can try your hand at getting a perfect game.

Most of their venues also host luxury private karaoke booths, as well as other fun activities like shuffleboard, arcade games, darts and more. You won't be going hungry either, as these are home to US-style menus, dishing up everything from juicy burgers and chicken wings to hot dogs and loaded tater tots.
