One of Tootings oldest pubs, The Castle has been part of the Young’s estate since 1832 and has an exciting history; American film actor, director and producer, John Wayne is known for frequenting The Castle in the 1940s. In the 1970s, the pub had an excellent reputation for live music and hosted the ‘Tooting Blues Club’. 

They have a contemporary yet cosy area at the front of the pub for relaxed drinks, meeting friends after work or just whiling away the hours. Behind the main bar, there are two gleaming Meantime ‘Brewery Fresh’ tanks that not only look impressive, but dispense fresh lager straight to the bar for you to try.

Their smart Restaurant area leads into the bright airy conservatory room known as The Orangery, both of which provide fantastic spaces to enjoy their fantastic food with full table service. A sociable Chef’s Table, opposite the kitchen pass is perfect for small drinks parties, dining and tasting events. They have a beautiful, big beer garden with a patio and al fresco dining options.
