By day, the space is calm and airy, with super-fast WiFi, soft lounge seating, and a café serving fresh salads, pasta, pastries and speciality coffee. When evening arrives, the lights soften, the bar comes alive with craft beers, cocktails and wines, and the lounge becomes a warm, creative hub to unwind in. If the sun is out, the leafy front garden is the perfect escape.

At the heart of The Purple Owl is our creative studio. Guests can drop in for two-hour craft sessions, choosing from pottery painting, clay moulding, canvas painting or T-shirt design - no experience needed, all materials ready on arrival. For those who want something a little more guided, our artist-led workshops welcome beginners and seasoned creatives alike, offering the chance to learn new skills in a relaxed, social setting.

Weekends take on a life of their own, with live music every Friday and a rotating mix of vinyl nights, DJs and live music at the weekends. Kids (before 7pm) and dogs are always welcome, and we keep plenty of space for walk-ins-so you’re free to make The Purple Owl your local creative hideaway.
