Tuesday 22nd November

Fools gold @ Shacklewell Arms, Shacklewell Lane, Dalston

I saw Los Angeles based Fool's Gold for the first time at Standon Calling - with an early afternoon slot on the Saturday - many festival goers were lazily snoozing in front of the main stage. Slowly sipping water or starting early with a bubbly cup that cheers. Enter; Fool's Gold with their western pop and African infused melodies. We were on our feet, possessed by rhythms and dancing. Luke Top's croons and the dancing infection that takes over is not to be missed.

Thursday 24th November

French films @ The Lexington, Pentonville Road, Angel

One of my favourite Nordic/Scandinavian nights in London is jajaja and tonight they tickle me pink with finnish five piece, French Films. They're exactly what everyone is raving about at the moment; dreamy, scuzzy and divinely grizzly melodies. Ja Ja Ja is always a bloody marvellous night; and tonight with French Films at the Helm, I wouldn't miss it.
