Sessions Arts Club

Sessions Arts Club continues its evocative journey through forgotten cellars with the launch of Lost Xarel·lo, the second edition in its Lost Wines series. Following the success of Lost Riesling Vol. 1, this latest release shines a spotlight on the Xarel·lo grape, a native Catalan variety long relegated to anonymity in blends, now given space to speak for itself. Discovered at Can Sumoi, a historic, family-run estate high in the hills of Penedès, the 2021 vintage is a rare find - just 200 bottles rescued, restored, and reimagined for a new audience.

The project, led by Sessions founder Jonny Gent and head of wine Sophie Liverman, continues to unearth extraordinary wines once overlooked or nearly lost to time. In this volume, the story deepens: winemaker Pepe Raventós and partner Francesc Escala's departure from the Cava DO marks a bold turn toward purity and expression, crafting biodynamic, organic wines with minimal intervention. Each bottle of Lost Xarel·lo is hand-numbered and wrapped in new artwork by Rosa Mason-Jones, further anchoring it as both artefact and experience.
