Earth & Stars

If you've asked anyone about roast dinners in Brighton, you've likely heard the words 'Earth and Stars' flutter from their lips. While the entirety of their menu isn't necessarily bespoke, these Sunday roast dinners are as gastro and grand as any. One of the busiest Sunday spots in the city, Earth and Stars are pleasing punters with their plates of Sussex pork belly,  South Downs lamb shank and veggie pastry parcels.

The Chimney House

Another of Brighton's secret gems, many haven't heard of The Chimney House or even tasted their great dishes. Found in the suburbia of Seven Dials, this is a charming little boozer with a kitchen of gastro greatness. From their vintage decor and dated furniture down to their classic dishes, The Chimney House don't mark crazy modernism, but they do mark contemporary cooking. Tuck into partridge, venison and hand-cut chips.

The Urchin

If seafood is what you fancy when it comes to gastro pub fare, then you're going to want to head to The Urchin for their selection of fresh-out-the-sea dishes. Wash one of their hearty plates down with a choice from their huge selection of craft ales and beers.

Farm Tavern Hove

Tucked away just off Western Road in Hove, The Farm Tavern is a charming pub with a friendly atmosphere. Expect a cosy, candlelit interior, complete with rustic wooden furniture, glowing lights and comfortable seating.

Head Chef Berenika is cooking up a storm in the kitchen, promising Eastern European comfort food and sumptuous Sunday roasts. One the drinks front, think locally sourced beer, wine and spirits. Plus, they host all sorts or fun events on a regular basis.
