Six weeks of long, uninterrupted bliss... the school holidays are finally here and while it's great to spend time with the little ones, sometimes it can be hard to keep the nipper entertained over the holiday period. Fear not, we've rounded up a selection of London summer holiday activities that will keep even the most avid tv-watcher occupied.

The Tacover Taco Tequila Festival has every summer hols entertainment angle covered. Set to be the largest event of its kind in Europe, it'll see over 40 traders serving up magnificently Mexican food and drink.

Aside from the feasting, the little ones are sure to lose their minds to mariachi music, folk dancing, roaming luchadores, tortilla slapping and hot taco challenges. The best part? Kids tickets start from just £1.10.

The Big Bakes

The UK's award-winning baking experience, The Big Bakes, is rolling out a stellar lineup of daytime family sessions this August to rescue your holiday itinerary. Kicking things off is their highly anticipated Superhero Bake Week, dropping into London East on 4th August and London South on 5th August. It's a 90-minute race against the clock where pairs of one adult and one child team up to build a custom superhero cake, complete with live, acrobatic superhero entertainers.

If your August calendar is already looking packed, the holiday fun doesn't stop there. From 12th to 28th August, the tents are switching gears for the rest of the summer holidays with their Kids Summer Safari Cake sessions. Running at 12pm and 3pm on selected dates, these sessions let families bake a super-cute, animal-themed masterpiece together.

Inspired by the popular BBC TV show, this interactive outing will have you exploring the city on foot, stopping off at three different checkpoints before completing the adventure.

You can play in teams of two to eight people, aiming to be a top scorer and nab a place on the live leaderboard. There'll be all kinds of obstacles, challenges and riddles to solve along the way, alongside optional 'work' tasks, and it's available to play every day of the week.

Boogie Shoes Silent Disco Walking Tours

This summer holiday, join in on the Boogie Shoes Silent Disco Walking Tours across the capital. Make your way around the city's pretty streets, all while taking in the iconic landmarks and dancing along to top-notch tunes. To top it off? There's also hilarious commentary.

On Sunday mornings until 30th August, families can stop by Eastway Brasserie during breakfast for colourful face painting too.

Escape London

Escape London offers an exceptional blueprint for a corporate Christmas party your team will actually remember. With interactive zones, daily keeper talks and more, it's a brilliant mix of education, adventure and fun.

Warner Bros Studio Tour

Ever fancied getting a peek behind the scenes of the Harry Potter films? Then check out the Warner Bros Studio Tour in Watford, taking you through the studios where they filmed all eight movies. Expect to see beautifully preserved props, costumes and sets, from the Ministry of Magic to Dumbledore's office.

On the three to four-hour experience you'll learn much more about these beloved films, as well as taking part in interactive experiences like green screen broomstick rides and wand choreography lessons.

Twist Museum

Situated on Oxford Street, Twist Museum is an interactive experience that's fun for all ages. Their mission is to challenge our perception of things, with over 80 different exhibits that make for amazing photo opportunities.

Expect optical illusions, sensory experiments, interactive installations and more, all designed in collaboration with artists, neuroscientists, and philosophers. You'll question your understanding of light, sound, space and motion, and prepare to have your mind blown.
