The Vineyard, Islington

With a cute beer garden, kitsch interiors and a unique location, The Vineyard in Angel is an affordable London pub where the local buzz is evident. Head to North London as the venue puts on a party over weekends with a DJ spinning until 2am; it's also great for a cheap birthday party in the city too, should you need a table, private hire of more.

Prince of Peckham

Happy Hour All Day! £7 cocktails. and 4 other offers

A south of the river favourite, known for their lively pub weekends, bustling DJ nights and more, Prince of Peckham is a local haven, with something always happening on their roster. And their cheap options are not to be scoffed at either, with 'hot mess Mondays' promising wings for just £10, late night happy hours, and two for £12 cocktails on Wednesdays.

Signature Brew Haggerston

One of the liveliest pubs in the city, Signature Brew Haggerston is the original venue from Signature Brew. They serve some of the freshest craft beer around, including all their signature sips:  Roadie All Night IPA, Studio Pilsner, Backstage IPA, and Nightliner coffee porter.

It's not just the pints that are enticing here, as they also host a lineup of weekly events. We're talking live music, comedy shows, quiz nights and more.

The Pembury Tavern

Kids free crafting table available 12pm-4pm

You'll find The Pembury Tavern in Hackney, run by local independent brewery The Five Points Brewing Company. There are plenty of cask and keg beers to choose from, as well as award-winning New York inspired Neapolitan pizzas by ACE Pizza.

They're both dog and child-friendly, and there's also a private space for large groups. Plus, there's a billiards table for added entertainment.

The Regent

A local independent boozer that can be found on Liverpool Road in Islington, The Regent offers a respite from the hustle and bustle of the area. The relaxed space promises plush leather booths and traditional wooden furnishings, and they show live sport on their multiple TVs.

Expect weekly comedy nights on Mondays, and a quiz every Thursday. There's a cracking range of craft beer on offer, as well as tasty pizzas loaded with spicy salami, gorgonzola or wild mushroom. What's more, you can get lunch for £7 on Thursdays and Fridays.

The Colonel Fawcett

Located on the outskirts of Camden, The Colonel Fawcett is a independent pub that's been around since 2011 - though the building dates back to 1845. They offer 19 different beers on draught, as well as a collection of over 100 gins and a choice of natural, organic and bio wines.

The welcoming space is decked out in exposed brick walls and comfy leather booths, with dartboards for some added entertainment. And if you're feeling peckish, they serve everything from ham, egg and chips to cashew cream gnocchi, as well as sumptuous Sunday roasts.

Ye Olde Mitre

Established in 1546, Ye Olde Mitre is a historic boozer that takes traditional pub-keeping seriously. Take a stroll through the cobbled courtyard to discover this gem, which features rustic wooden furnishings, patterned carpets and mugs hanging from the ceiling.

They offer seven different real ales on tap, as well as five changing guest brews per week - so no wonder it was voted the CAMRA pub of the year on three occasions. They also serve a range of toasties from £7 each, filled with cheese and tomato, ham, onion or pickle.
