Mama Shelter

Nestled in the heart of East London, Mama Shelter offers a delightful blend of modern design and playful ambience. With its stunning rooftop terrace, stylish restaurant, and buzzing bar, this venue is ideal for after-work drinks, brunch with friends, or an unforgettable night out.

You'll be able to revel in lively bottomless brunches or grab a seat during the evenings to tuck into juicy burgers, roast chicken and more. The vibrant decor and welcoming atmosphere create an inviting space for guests to connect and relax.

Sticks'n'Sushi Shoreditch

All You Can Sip Brunch

When you think of super affordable restaurants, Sticks'n'Sushi might not be the first place that springs to mind. But you can still enjoy a blend of Nordic and Japanese flavours at this mid-range restaurant without breaking the bank.

The skewers here are the most affordable menu items to bulk out your meal with, starting at £3.90 for two pieces. We'd recommend the teriyaki-glazed sweet potato, sake-marinated mackerel and sweet and sour fried chicken thigh.

Piehole Shoreditch

Looking for a hearty meal that won't break the bank? Then Piehole could be just the place for you. They've got classic and filo pies filled with everything from jackfruit to steak and blue cheese or Moroccan-spiced carrot, all of which cost just £9.50 each. You can add on plain or cheesy mash and any of their other sides for only £3.95, or if you head there on a Saturday then they're offering any pie, mash, mushy peas and more for just £30.95 (which includes an hour of bottomless beer).

Blacklock Shoreditch

Widely regarded as one of the best places for steak and Sunday roasts, you'd assume that Blacklock Shoreditch wasn't that affordable, right? Wrong. Steaks here start at just £15, while burgers and steak sarnies come in at £13 and £14 respectively.

All cattle bred for consumption at Blacklock graze on lush Cornish grass, bred by Cornwall's oldest third-generation farmers and butchers, the Warren Family. Their aim? Producing the very best native and rare breed meat in the world, which you can happily gobble up at affordable prices in this Shoreditch restaurant.

Bubala

Middle Eastern restaurant Bubala is a Spitalfields favourite, taking inspiration from the cafes of Lebanon and Tel Aviv. What started as a series of pop-ups and super clubs is now a much-loved, permanent home, serving dishes like £5 oyster mushroom skewers and indulgent sweet potato, hawaij and sunflower seed tahini sides.

Padella Shoreditch

One of the most renowned pasta restaurants, Padella Shoreditch is the sister site of the original London Bridge venue that holds a coveted Michelin Guide Bib Gourmand for great quality at good value prices. It's walk-ins only and well worth the wait, with their signature hand-rolled pasta on the cards.

Think fettucine with 'nduja, mascarpone and lemon or stracci with gorgonzola fonduta and sweet onions, served alongside aperitivo like the orange vermouth spritz and an Italian wine list.

Xi'an Biang Biang Noodles

A short walk from Spitalfields and Aldgate East, Xi'an Biang Biang Noodles is a highly regarded Chinese restaurant famous for the same hand-pulled noodles as the original restaurant, Xi'an Impression. It's a canteen-style eatery for pocket-friendly meals with a relaxed vibe to match.

The menu includes choices spanning thin and belt noodles, as well as accompaniments like chunky belly pork and egg in rich broth or special sesame sauce. Most mains are under £14 too.
