Enter a pixel-powered time machine at 16-Bit Sky Bar, a nostalgic night of retro gaming curated by REZtron.

Set high above East London in the sleek Sky Bar at Hyatt Place, this event brings the golden age of gaming back to life with SEGA consoles, CRT TVs, and a massive lineup of classics: Marvel vs Capcom, R-Type, Streets of Rage, and more. With tickets starting from just £9.90, it's an accessible and social way to do something different in the city.

• Why I recommend: I think that Flight Club Victoria's secret rooftop garden is a great place to unwind with your friends after battling it out over their Social Darts sampler. You can take your cocktails or bubbles outside and soak up the gorgeous foliage and themed interiors. The brunch event is a great shout for parties, stags and hen dos

Not only is Flight Club home to an epic Brunch Social that matches high-tech darts with paddle pizzas and lashings of bubbly, but the Victoria spot also touts a rooftop space. Decked out in festoon lighting and quirky decor, the Magic Garden is a feast for the eyes.

Grab tickets to the event from £38 per person, and make the most of a two-hour session which involves bottomless pizza and a bottle of prosecco each, or four beers. You'll spend half your time getting competitive with the game, and the other half feasting properly.

• Why I recommend: this one is a great pick for a brunch that captures the sun-soaked feel of Ibiza in London. I think it's ideal for groups who care more about music and atmosphere than unlimited drinks, and who are keen to hear classics - previous guests have included the likes of Brandon Block, Alex P, and Lisa Loud, so you know it's going to be good 

Taking place at The Broadcaster is Ibiza Anthems Brunch. It's an excellent event where you'll enjoy free-flowing canapés on the rooftop before letting loose to top DJs playing the island's soundtracks. 

Your tickets (from £17.50) include entry plus the canapés served between 12pm and 2pm, making it more of a social, grazing-style experience than a sit-down meal. After that, the party ramps up, with DJs and performers keeping things lively well into the afternoon, while later entry tickets are available from 2.30pm for those just coming for the music. With previous guest DJs including Judge Jules and Mark Knight, this one's all about nostalgia.

The Buff Bingo Drag Brunch Rooftop Summer Terrace Parties bring you boys, balls and bottomless booze. On the fabulous sun-soaked rooftop terrace at The Garden Vauxhall, you can expect fabulous drag queen performances, crazy bingo games and butlers in the buff.

To keep you refreshed along the way, there's a choice of brunch dishes, from pizza to chicken and burgers - plus 90 minutes of free-flowing prosecco, cocktails, bottled beer and softies. Grab your tickets to the party for just £13.

The location is great - you'll be able to see the IMAX, the London Eye, and more - just make sure you're prepped to walk up its spiralling staircase to get to the goods (or gods in this case)

Head to Skylark Roof Garden in Paddington for Primadonna, a Santorini-inspired experience that will make you feel like you're in the Mediterranean while enjoying views of London. This elegant space transitions seamlessly from day to night, with DJs taking over as the sun sets.

Book your spot on a Saturday to enjoy summer cocktails with a view, making you feel like the main character. When hunger strikes, they've also got coastal-inspired dishes and Mediterranean sharing platters to get stuck into.

Head to Karma Sanctum Soho Hotel for an exclusive rooftop event in London, where their Gentleman's Afternoon Tea brings a Japanese-inspired twist to the classic format, served in the stylish Wild Heart Bar & Shokudo before heading up to the exclusive roof terrace.

Expect a mix of elevated savoury and sweet bites, from tuna tataki to aged Wagyu beef sliders and pecan pie, alongside a curated selection of teas including matcha and hojicha. For an extra £27.50, you can upgrade the experience with a whiskey and Davidoff cigar pairing, best enjoyed on the rooftop for a more indulgent finish.

Not only is Sky Garden an absolute beauty of a rooftop bar with events in Central London, but its panoramic views are also pretty unbeatable. What's on the roster? Everything from relaxing sunrise breakfasts to live music nights, where tickets include a complimentary glass of Champagne or wine. 

Early risers can book onto Sunrise at Sky Garden from £12.65, or pair breakfast at Larch with access to the space from around £25.85. Wellness fans are also covered, with yoga and pilates sessions taking place among the greenery from around £20.90. The Sky High Brunch brings you skyline views and bottomless booze. Up on the rooftop of CÉ LA VI, DJs spin house beats that rise and roll as dancers and immersive performers take to the stage throughout the afternoon. 

As you tuck into the likes of wagyu picanha, black truffle risotto and miso mash potato, you can pair your plates with 90 minutes of free-flowing champagne, cocktails, wines and spirits.
