Barrio blends a Latin American feel-good factor with the vibrant nature of the neighbourhood, and the end result is one seriously fun night out. You'll find this quirky hangout on Acre Lane, mixing it up with a vintage caravan, local artworks and hand-painted tiles aplenty. Cocktails focus on tequila, mezcal, pisco and rum, and a Latin party playlist soundtracks a pumping night on the tiles until 2 AM at weekends.

There's nothing ordinary about a night out at Aeronaut. Head on over at the weekends to find a boozer hosting its own scintillating night at the circus, complete with aerial acrobatics, balancing acts hula-hooping, juggling, dancers and heaps more. As if all that excitement wasn't enough, there's DJs to get those dancing feet shifting into gear soon after.

The Escapologist

Based at the HQ of the secret society that ran Victorian London, The Escapologist is part modern-day Victorian men's club, part Masonic Lodge in Covent Garden. It's the ideal fit for those looking for something different from their night out, with a fun yet refined cocktail list served alongside cheese-drenched pizzas in a beautifully designed basement joint.

A short walk from Old Street station - and in one of London's coolest districts, XOYO is a must for anyone searching for an epic night out in London. The super club is open til the early hours with a range of different nights, along with occasional performances from some huge name DJs.

Old Street Records

Bringing live music, authentic Italian pizza and brilliant cocktails to Shoreditch, there's little doubting Old Street Records' place as one of the coolest hangouts in East London. Soak in that record-store-realness and expect to see anything from EP launches to new bands and established live acts on the main floor, with a more low-key feel to the jazz nights and DJ sets that go down in the basement.

Paradise By Way of Kensal Green

Paradise's whole host of stunning private rooms makes it a perfect candidate for settling in and celebrating a special occasion, before popping over to their club room where a rousing atmosphere rife with house, hip-hop and party bangers gets into full flow. Always lively and packed with people who like to party, this is where West London comes to let its hair down.

Blues Kitchen Shoreditch

We'd tip bagging yourself a table at this jumping Curtain Road joint nice and early in the evening. That way, you can stock yourself up with some delicious smoked meats and get merry with some of their delightful cocktails in a vibrant atmosphere. Once you're done at the table make that short journey over to the dance floor, where a cracking blues band will have you on your feet long into the night.
