At Gusto, the motto is 'Con Amici', which means 'eating with friends' – so you can bet they are one of the best family friendly restaurants in Liverpool. The Baltic Social is a cute little hideaway decked out in fairy lights, wooden tables and funky wooden panels that makes it a great quirky pub. Their menu offering is simple but effective, and their impressive list of craft beers, ales and wines will keep the parents happy while the kids admire their surroundings.

Almost Famous is a chilled out venue that is more than grateful to have your kids round – and they'll be pleased too. The light-hearted bar is known for their huge comfort treats, with notoriously great burgers packed full of goodies that'll truly put to the test whether your kids' eyes are bigger than their bellies. They've also got a variety of Freakshakes, milkshakes piled high with whipped cream and other toppings, as well as a creative cocktail or two should you want to make it a bit more fancy.

On the outside PanAm looks like a trendy restaurant bar (because it is), but they're actually very accommodating of families. Not only will you be treated to a menu filled with modern and traditional British food washed down with a cocktail or two, this contemporary venue also has a children's menu for the little nippers, making it a great bar to take your kids in Liverpool.

A child-friendly pub in Liverpool can definitely be a bit glamorous, and that's where the Monro shines. There's plush leather sofas, polished wooden floors, wood panelled walls and ornate chandeliers, with an open fire to add a bit of pub comfort. For drinks, they have a wonderful list of wines for you to sample, and you can fill yourself up on British gastropub food.

If you want to play a game of pool with your kids in Liverpool, Rileys is the best solution. With a junior membership, they can stay in the 24-hour bar until 9pm, and you can play everything from snooker to pool and more. They also play matches on the screens, making it even better for little sports fans.
