A beloved Herne Hill pub in a Grade II-listed building, Half Moon promises a fantastic afternoon or evening out. There's always something happening here, from live music on Saturdays to weekly pub quizzes and a sell-out monthly comedy cabaret.

The dark, traditional interior makes for a cosy few drinks, or soak up the sun on their inviting outdoor terrace. As well as a plethora of drinks, they offer breakfast right through to dinner, featuring plates like chicken Milanese with parma ham, cauliflower bhaji burgers and truffle-topped sirloin steaks.

2. The Prince Regent London

Right on the edge of Brockwell Park, The Prince Regent is a buzzing neighbourhood pub that promises spacious, traditional interiors. Kick back on one of their comfy sofas, and sample a wide range of craft beers, cocktails, carefully curated wines and small-batch gins.

They're also known for their sumptuous gastro fare, ranging from double rib and chuck smash burgers to grilled halloumi with sprouting broccoli or pan-roasted salmon. They also serve a spectacular Sunday roast. What's more, you can test out your general knowledge at their weekly quiz night.

3. The Commercial

A dog-friendly local pub with a quintessentially British feel to it, The Commercial is a great choice of pub in Herne Hill. Close to Brockwell Park, it provides a bright, roomy drinking space, with touches of colour and framed photos lining the walls.
