Whether you’re detoxing after the festive season or fancy having a crack at the vegan lifestyle, Veganuary is sweeping the nation. With more people pledging to go meat-free every year, it seems restaurants, pubs and cafes across London are jumping on board too, offering plant-based menus that sound too darn good to miss. With so much to choose from, we’ve rounded up our top 15 special menus the capital has to offer so you can enjoy meat-free feasting without the guesswork.

The Spread Eagle

Club Mexicana continue their residency at London's first all-vegan pub in Homerton, creating a Veganuary set menu with a little extra spice to heat up cold winter evenings. There’s sticky glazed achiote ‘ribs’ and triple fried potatoes, braised jackfruit in a tomato, jalapeno and coriander broth, and a tequila lime pie to finish.

Craft

Greenwich restaurant and brainchild of chef Stevie Parle, Craft, are re-jigging their Test Kitchen Tuesdays menu to exclusively vegan offerings. The menu features six dishes including sand carrot espuma with carrot leaf and toasted oats, and rapeseed oil cake with dill sorbet. For juts £28 a head, it’s a steal.

All Star Lanes x Biff’s Jack Shack

Purveyors of filthy AF vegan junk food Biff’s Jack Shack have taken over the kitchens of All Star Lanes to bring fried jackfruit to the masses. Check out Biff’s Wingz, made from jackfruit and a sugar cane ‘bone’, deep fried and dressed with a selection of sauces. There’s also the special one-off burger, El Jackitan, which combines a jackfruit patty with zesty gauc, tortilla chips, nacho cheese and hot chipotle sauce into one devilishly delicious bun.

NYC vegan hangout byCHLOE are hosting a month packed with Veganuary activities, with Mac Mondays (free portions of mac n cheese will be dished up when you purchase a burger, sandwich or salad), informative talks with a series of influencers and multimedia company Vevolution, plus the launch of the Full Brekkie. Created with scrambled tofu, jackfruit sausage, maple carrot bacon, smoky cowboy beans and shiitake mushrooms, it’s popped in an English muffin and topped with homemade beet ketchup to finish.

Billy and Jack's Dinner Club

These guys are taking over BOKI in Covent Garden for a one-off special Dinner Club on the 25th January, featuring an exclusively vegan menu of seasonal produce. Aubaine

Aubaine are adding a modern French flair to their plant-based dishes, the oh-so tasty sounding offerings include roasted cauliflower with turmeric, smoked paprika and pine nuts. There's also mushroom bourguignon and butternut squash risotto, as well as raw Peruvian chocolate brownies to finish. Fancy a tipple? Yard Sale Pizza x The Vurger Co

Enlisting the help of this cult vegan burger crew, Yard Sale Pizza have created a plant-based pizza that’s got us drooling at the thought of it. The Auburizza sees double-fermented dough topped with The Vurger Co’s Tabasco chipotle sauce-braised aubergines, caramelised red onion, chargrilled peppers, rocket and a drizzle of cumin mayo to create the perfect pizza-Vurger taste sensation.

The kooky plant-based pop-up has become a favourite among herbivores for its vegan brunches, roast dinners and cocktails. This Veganuary, make sure to swing by the pop-up and sample its signature Ain’t It Cold Outside vegan curry. With its warming Jamaican-inspired flavours, the dish combines roasted yams, red pepper, spinach and chickpeas with delicious results.

Hit up the Lebanese canteen this Veganuary and you’ll find a feasting menu that's positively bursting with delicious treats.
