London's Outdoor Cinemas: Best Of

Everyman Screen On The Canal

Located in Coal Drops Yard in Kings Cross, Everyman Screen On The Canal is a brilliant outdoor cinema in London that's free to attend. They offer screenings throughout July and most of August, starting at 12pm and with a final time slot of 7:30pm. This year, they've got titles like Barbie, Bend it like Beckham, Legally Blonde and so many more, and you can nab tasty drinks and street food while you're at it.

Covent Garden's Open-Air Cinema

Returning to the Piazza for 2026, Covent Garden's open-air cinema is a winner for the summer season. This is a free installation created in partnership with Champagne Lanson, so you can sip bubbles while enjoying the entertainment.

There are a range of screenings taking place, from live coverage of Wimbledon to film nights and even Royal Ballet School centenary celebrations.

Summer Screens At Canary Wharf

Bring along your blankets and snacks for Summer Screens at Canary Wharf, which sees Canada Square park transforming into an open-air cinema from June right through to September. They've got classic films aplenty here, from Clueless to The Dark Knight, as well as coverage of live sporting events - especially the Olympics this summer. And the best part? it's all totally free.

Lower Marsh Lates

Looking for an alfresco film night? Get on over to Lower Marsh Lates.

Taking place every Thursday over the summer, it's got an epic movie for every month - Cool Runnings in June, Romeo + Juliet in July and Mrs Doubtfire in August. As well as all the fun of the silver screen, there's live entertainment and plenty of delicious dishes.
