If you thought rooftop bars were all well and good as long as it's the summer, think again. This city is blessed with a network of sky-high spots that are equipped to throw their doors open to you come rain, wind or shine.

We've put together a list of London's best winter rooftops; from elevated igloos to spritzes and s'mores around the campfire.

Best Rooftop Bars In London For Winter

Queen of Hoxton

Queen of Hoxton transforms its rooftop into a snug winter escape, where a giant heated yurt and crackling fires set the scene above East London. Indulge in seasonal sips like the Spiced Clementine Margarita or Tiramisu Espresso Martini, paired with flame-grilled burgers, mac & cheese balls, and vegan treats.

Whether you're catching up with friends or sharing cocktails under the stars, this Shoreditch gem is a top pick for festive nights out.

London Bridge Rooftop

LBRT HAPPY HOUR

London Bridge Rooftop gets a winter-themed makeover where you can expect bauble-decked Christmas trees, twinkling lights and Aperol ski lifts accompanying the views. Plus, you can nab Christmas cocktails and warming drinks like mulled wine teapots.

There's also 6th-floor private Christmas Grotto, with a darts board, which will be available for private hires and group bookings and perfect for office events or catch-ups with friends.

8 at The Londoner

With its sheltered terrace and traditional Japanese garden, 8 at The Londoner is the perfect place to escape the city streets. As you look out over the capital, you can get to grips with fine aged Japanese whiskies and traditional cocktails.

The food menu is equally indulgent, intriguing and East Asian. Expect edamame candy, lotus crisps, robata brioche rolls and more, all perfectly paired with signature Japanese-style serves.

Circe’s Rooftop Waterloo

Happy Hour

Winter is coming, and Circes is transforming into a frosty paradise with fully covered and heated areas, delicious food and drinks, and fabulous heated winter igloos with Grey Goose. Longer nights mean longer parties on their magical rooftop.

Whether you want the whole place to yourself, a private terrace, or a winter igloo, they've got the drinks, food, and incredible views to cater to all your seasonal desires.

Bubba Oasis Islington

Bubba Disco Pitcher 🪩

A vibrant clubhouse bar in Islington, Bubba Oasis is providing an après ski feel this Christmas. Step into their alpine hut for comfy sofas, festive trees and decorations, making for the perfect photo opportunity.

They host live music and DJs in the evening, and there's a retractable roof on their outdoor terrace to suit all weathers. Sip delicious cocktails like the Cinnamon Blueberry Mojito or a Chocolate Orange Old Fashioned, paired with winter eats like baked camembert and charcuterie boards. Plus, they even host bottomless brunches and après ski dinners.

Wagtail

Wagtail Rooftop Bar & Restaurant is transformed into a winter wonderland as the temperatures begin to cool, decked out with igloos, blankets and heaters - a perfect pick of Instagrammable rooftop bars in London for winter. The elegant, outside space partners up with Grey Goose to provide delicious sips (think signature espresso martinis), alongside a delicious spread of food.

Look forward to tucking into festive set menus, as well as the terrace's regular droolworthy options, like 35-day dry-aged ribeye with thick-cut chips, and white crab linguine.

Boundary Shoreditch, Rooftop

Offering some of the best views in East London, Boundary is a welcoming rooftop bar in Shoreditch. Come winter, their outdoor space is filled with twinkling fairy lights, as well as fluffy blankets, heaters and lots of gorgeous greenery.

They've got a cracking selection of cocktails here, alongside wines and varied spirits. Hungry? Their food menu ranges from truffle and wild mushroom orzo to corn-fed spatchcock chicken and charcuterie boards.
