The Old Wellington
A slice of history built way back in 1552, The Old Wellington is a charming Grade II-listed building that's seen it all — from the city's first bank to the rise of the cotton industry. Kitted out in wooden beams and tables, as well as dedicated traditional dining rooms serving up venison sausages, gourmet pies, and more, they've also got a great range of well-kept real ales on tap (courtesy of local and national breweries) and a solid wine list.
