Rosie Healy, the founder of Alchemilla, is opening another hot spot just a few steps away from her first venture in the heart of Glasgow. Perfectly placed in the former Firebird site of Yorkhill, Gloriosa will feature 60 covers, and serve a menu of natural wines with high-end snacks.

While the project is under wraps for the moment, guests can expect a very different feel from Alchemilla. Instead, Gloriosa’s focus will be on bright, colourful and hearty plates of simple yet classic cooking.

After stating that small plates are ‘so last year’, Healy has confirmed a return to larger, traditional dishes with a focus on Mediterranean eating. With a space made up of white walls, ashy tables and simple Milano chairs, with a bright pink wood-fired oven, Gloriosa is sure to have a chic yet homely feel for feasting.
