What Is The HotBoat?
The HotBoat is a custom-built vessel with a wood-fired sauna on board, cruising on Loch Tay, framed by the scenic Ben Lawers mountain range and Highland sights. It’s the newest addition to Taymouth Marina’s wellness offerings, alongside their HotBox Spa.
How To Experience the HotBoat Sauna On Loch Tay?
There are two ways to enjoy the HotBoat:
Houseboat guests: Overnight guests of Taymouth Marina's Houseboat enjoy complimentary daily access from 12:30pm–2pm, included in your stay.
HotBoat cruise experience: A two-hour booking includes:
- Cruising across Loch Tay with panoramic views
- Unwinding in a wood-fired sauna
- Enjoying a wild swim straight from the boat
- A Bluetooth sound system to set the mood
What To Bring?
You can keep it pretty simple:
- Swimwear
- A towel or dry robe
- Water-friendly shoes
- Your adventurous spirit (to give you the courage to take a dip in the loch)
Each cruise comes with a complimentary robe, seating towel, cold water, and fruit.
What If The Weather Is Bad?
The cruise experience is available year-round. If the weather becomes too wild, the HotBoat will stay anchored in a sheltered bay. You’ll still enjoy a full sauna session, access to the loch for a dip, and the same dramatic Highland scenery. The loch is crystal clear and a wee bit chilly, but that's never stopped the locals.
