Identifiable only by its glowing neon sign reading ‘this is the spot’, AFS is an all-new hidden restaurant down a staircase in Finnieston. Taking inspiration from restaurants in Brooklyn, the Argyle Street haunt specialises in American-style dishes like burgers, loaded dogs and hearty all-day breakfast plates.

While it may only be open for delivery and collection at the moment, the team behind the restaurant are hoping to open fully in the near future. When it does, guests will discover sleek interiors made up of chequered flooring, neon lighting and artwork reminiscent of the Big Apple. That’s not all though as the venue has its own stage too, perfect for jazz nights once live music returns to the city.

As for the menu? Think juicy burgers topped with haggis, bacon and chicken, loaded chilli dogs, Philly cheese steak sarnies and flat iron steaks. Of course, you can’t miss the all-day brunch menu too, complete with brioche French toast, eggs Benedict, steak and eggs and the full American with bacon, sausage, eggs, hash browns and beans… the whole shebang.
