Celebrate a month of Sailor Jerry takeovers with booze, food, tunes and more.

Spiced rum connoisseurs Sailor Jerry will be taking over Edinburgh this month with a number of partnerships across the city, bringing free food, haircuts, tattoos and exclusive discounts.

Kicking off with SJ Presents, the brand will be taking a mini-tour of Scotland's most iconic music venues with special guest headliners Black Honey, The Blinders and She Drew The Gun, alongside local support acts. They’ll be stopping over at La Belle Angele on the 20th March, and launching their Scotland Unsigned competition to tie into the event on the 11th. This will be a prime opportunity for unsigned acts to submit demos and be up with the chance of winning £1000 worth of music gear with a support slot at Sailor Jerry: The Castle Takeover, an exclusive gathering for 200 competition winners at a secret castle venue later this year. 

Plenty of local businesses will get getting a slice of the action too, as 500 pizzas are up for grabs from Civerinos while Sink & Anchor are offering a 15% discount on barber services and playing host to the Trims n Tunes event on the 23rd. Looking to get inked? Well now’s your chance as Studio XIII are hosting a flash day on the 24th, where you throw a dart to determine your design.

There’s also going to be ‘flash art’ popping up on the streets of the city, so if you spot the tattoo designs of Sailor Jerry’s namesake, Norman Collins, take a snap as you could be in with a chance of guestlist to the exclusive Sailor Jerry: Castle Takeover party.
