Inspired by Cardiff's rich coal mining history, R.P Culley & Co champions local produce and regional delicacies. Head chef Keith Clash has curated a menu that pays homage to his home nation, taking classic Welsh recipes and giving them a modern twist. Dishes include warm peppered Pant YsGawn goats cheese with beets and pomegranate dressing, Culleys Welsh beef, locally farmed with oxtail, foie gras and beef pie, truffle mash, seared beef fillet, served with roast potatoes, spinach and jus, and Abergavenny lamb rack with pommes anna potato, baby veg, lamb and port jus.
Taking its name from local philanthropist, entrepreneur and previous holder of the catering contract for The Exchange Restaurant, Richard Palethorpe Culley, R. P Culley & Co boasts a wide drinks menu so guests can wine and dine as he did with the money men of his time. The restaurant's own range of wine and craft beer will be available, alongside a cocktail menu that's designed as a timeline of mixed drinks through the ages, all garnished with seasonal twists and regional products.
