New Bar Spy - Buffalo

Cardiff's Best-Loved Live Music Bar Is Back And Better Than Ever

Buffalo

Opens

Venue Closed

If you're a local or have bar hopped about the city, then you've probably heard of Buffalo. Once known for its live music gigs from artists such as Adele and Glass Animals, this iconic venue is now set on reopening on Windsor Place under new ownership. Pennyroyal's founder, Alexander Taylor, will be revamping the upstairs space, all while paying homage to the original features. This includes the iconic stage, sultry neon-lit bar and disco-themed drinks menu.

When you're not quaffing a Gold Digger - whipped up from bourbon, passionfruit, coconut, honey and grenadine - on the first floor, head downstairs to Koi, a brand-spanking-new Japanese restaurant. Also established by Taylor, this swanky izakaya boasts red custom booths and traditional room dividers, alongside a mouthwatering menu. Think katsu sando chicken served with crunchy slaw or bento boxes. Oh, yes.
