Brimming with Great Places

Would you just look at this little number? If Birmingham's Custard Factory doesn't deserve an Urbanism gong, who does?

So, don't worry, we didn't know what the Academy of Urbanism Awards were either. But after plenty of researching (aka 'Google-ing'), we discovered that this sparky bunch are a self-funded organization that celebrate all the great places that the UK has to offer, lovely huh? What's even more lovely is to discover that one of our very own could be up for a gong! Up for 2014's 'Great Place Award', Digbeth's Custard Factory has pipped many other great places to the post for next year's nominations; and it's no wonder. With some of the best independent stores, Birmingham clubs, warehouse bars and graffiti work in the UK, The Custard Factory is a hubbub of creative activity and Birmingham's hipster kids. Chin chin to The Custard Factory!
