What they say:

Central London is already a hub of brunch goodness, but it’s about to shine even brighter with the addition of The Good Egg. These Stoke Newington brunch specialists are currently running a crowd-funder to open their second site in Soho, bringing Israeli dishes like bacon and egg pita with date jam, pickled cucumber and mango amba, or Shakshuka, which is baked eggs with tomato, peppers and preserved lemon yoghurt. Wash it down with a cool cocktail like Cardamon Coffee – Absolut vodka and a double espresso mixed with housemade cardamom syrup and milk – and you are in for a good time.

What we say:

It's not just brunch at The Good Egg, as these guys have a whole dinner menu dedicated to the delicacies of Tel Aviv. The focus is on their onsite pita oven and smoker, so expect treats like pastrami cured salmon and caper schmear, or za’atar fried chicken thighs with chilli honey. There’s also going to be a bakery, for food to eat in or takeaway, with challah, bagels, babka and flatbreads on offer. For drinks, the cocktail menu is a fusion of American and eastern Mediterranean tastes, with a strong selection of wines, craft beer and coffees if they don’t strike your fancy.
