David Carter of Smokestak fame and Chris Leach from Petersham Nurseries are combining forces. This summer, the dynamic duo will be opening an all-new authentic Italian eatery at the former Magpie site on Mayfair's Heddon Street.
Expect a menu of fresh, traditional dishes with a made-from-scratch attitude, inspired by the Leach’s travels across the country. With the aim of showcasing Italy's finest recipes from across the country, the restaurant will use only the finest produce and showcase a diverse range of dishes.
Standouts include fried ciccoli with apple mostrada, gnocco fritto served with prosciutto, apple butter and Berkswell, and agnolotti with pork and hazelnuts. There will also be smoked chicken liver toast with blackberries and wood fired chicken with agrodolce panzanella and chilli for meat-lovers to munch on too.
