Renowned for its USDA brisket, pork and beef rib cuisine, David Carter’s Smokestak has earned itself a loyal following at food festivals and Street Feast sites since opening back in 2013.

Now Carter is opening his first permanent site, where meat-lovers will be able to tuck into some serious BBQ’d goods with a slightly more “grown-up” feel. Dressed with black-barbon stained concrete walls and old workshop furnishings, the first Smokestak restaurant will serve a range of signature dishes and new plates in a 75-cover restaurant designed to feel like the inside of a smoker. You’ll be able to gorge on crispy beef shin, brisket buns and thick-cut pork ribs in a striking venue complete with an open-plan kitchen and an outdoor terrace with room for up to 30.

Smokestak will also feature a cosy, candlelit bar in the basement. Ideal for a few pre-dinner drinks and a couple of bar snack bites, the concise drinks menu will feature six cocktails, 25 wines and a collection of locally brewed beers from the likes of 40FT and Kernel Brewery.
