If you need a break from the hustle and bustle of Liverpool Street, Pan Pacific is the latest luxury hotel for your radar. Get ready for an array of flavours at their fabulous Straits Kitchen, serving up authentic Singaporean food for breakfast, lunch and dinner. With floor-to-ceiling glass windows overlooking the Plaza and two private dining rooms named Newton and Katong, the spot evokes a welcoming atmosphere with a respectful approach to cooking cultural dishes.

Using locally grown ingredients, executive chefs, Lorraine Sinclair and Tony Khoo, aim to minimise their carbon footprint, all while amplifying their colourful and vibrant plates. A matcha made in heaven if you ask us. Try their teapot double boiled soup with galangal, red dates and wolfberries for a comforting meal, or opt for Singapore’s National Dish – wok fry chili mud crab, made with various spices. Finish off with a bespoke dish called ‘apple’ which was inspired by fruit from one of the chef’s gardens – a delicious combination of compote, caramel sponge and cinnamon crumble. It’ll be the prettiest dessert you’ll ever dig into.
