Mexican eatery Pepitos was opened in Derby back in 1997 after its founder toured California and formed a particular affinity for Mexican cuisine. Twenty years later, the restaurant is opening its first London-based restaurant in Hackney.

Pepitos is a vibrant casual dining restaurant offering authentic home cooking and specialising in delicacies such as chicken fajitas, with fillets that have been marinated and infused for 24 hours, steak rioja with a 30-day matured rump served with creamy wine sauce and melt-in-the-mouth potato skins. They claim their Pina Coladas are the talk of the town, but can they compete with what London has to offer? We'll have to wait and see. 

While it is uncertain which specific dishes will be coming to London, diners can anticipate a menu that’s bursting with the vibrant flavours of California and Mexico.
