IVO GRAHAM

EDINBURGH COMEDY AWARD NOMINEE: BEST SHOW 2019

Apologetic Eton and Oxford alumnus Ivo started stand-up in 2009 at the age of 18, and eight months and later became the youngest ever winner of the prestigious So You Think You’re Funny award for new acts at the Edinburgh Fringe. Since then he has become a regular fixture in the clubs and theatres of the UK circuit, with a gauche charm and crafty, self-aware wit which has proved a hit with audiences of all ages, and led to appearances on multiple TV and radio shows including Live At The Apollo, Mock The Week, Live From The BBC and Comedy Central At The Comedy Store.

His immense talent and hard work culminated in his most recent solo show - 'The Game of Life' - being nominated for Best Show at the Edinburgh Fringe.  There are very few comics as charming, articulate, self-deprecating and slyly subversive as Ivo.  Every show with him in is a gold-encrusted treat and we're incredibly excited to welcome him back to our club.

“Hilarious…Graham is as funny as anyone in town.” The Times

“One of the country's true stand-up gems.” The List

“A fine joke writer and constructor of routines.” The Guardian

OLGA KOCH

Having lived in Russia, Germany, the US and the UK Olga has the unique ability to speak confidently and hilariously on current affairs both global and personal. She has trained at the UCB Theatre in New York, The Soho Theatre Young Company and The Free Association Improv program and holds a degree in computer science from New York University, which often inspires her work.

In 2018, she was nominated for Best Newcomer at the Edinburgh Comedy Awards for her debut hour, Fight, which premiered at The Pleasance Courtyard and was described as "a hybrid of a John le Carre novel and an episode of Black Mirror" by The Evening Standard. In 2019, she embarked on a sell out tour of Fight and recorded the show as a Special for BBC Radio 4.

Olga has also appeared on Mock The Week, The Now Show, The Blame Game, BBC Arts Hour, Pls Like and King Gary.

“Koch is a peppy performer and gets a lot of laughs from a full house as she fires off joke after joke.” The List

“A performer who wears her politics so lightly, so hilariously, and so devastatingly on her sleeve.” Fest

ALI WOODS

Ali is a new comedian who has just been crowned New Comedian of the Year at one of the most prestigious awards in the country.  Sharp, lean and accessible, his material and delivery are pitch perfect to rock a room - whether it's a an intimate room above a pub or huge theatre.

"The finished article...in a world of wannabes, Woods is the real deal." Evening Standard

"Wins over the crowd with his vigour... a club-ready comic." Chortle

ROGER O'SULLIVAN

Winner of the Comedy Cavern comedian of the Year award 2020, Roger's work has been featured on BBC radio 4, RTE and TV3. His mixture of oneliners and surreal stories have drawn comparisons to Dylan Moran and Mitch Hedberg.

"A comedic mind ripe with potential." The Irish Examiner

AND YOUR RESIDENT HOST:

BEN VAN DER VELDE

One of the quickest wits around and a much-loved compere, he always brings a jam-packed back of nonsense, silliness and wisecracks to every gig he hosts.

"Sharp and crafty gagsmith, a life-giving compere." Chortle

"Wonderfully improvised riffs showcasing his impressive spontaneity and sharp tongue." Edinburgh Festivals Magazine

“The perfect comedy club host – he is a master of audience interaction. The audience weren’t just warmed up, but pretty hysterical even before the first act of the night hit the stage.”  Huffington Post
