JACOB HAWLEY
Jacob Hawley is a smart, incisive young
comic who has already amassed an impressive body of work and is
well in for a shout to be the voice of his generation. He has
appeared on The Russell Howard Hour, The Stand Up Sketch Show, BBC
3’s hit sitcom Ladhood and multiple BBC Comedy shorts. His first
two Edinburgh Fringe shows ‘Howl’ and ‘Faliraki’ were both
translated into BBC Radio 4 Stand Up Specials, with his second
special ‘Class Act’ being named The Guardian’s Pick Of The Week.
Jacob has written for The Sunday Times, Mock The Week, The BBC, and
is a regular columnist for The Metro.
He was awarded a Radio Academy award which he accepted at London’s
Palladium for Best New Voice for his hit BBC Sounds podcast Jacob
Hawley: On Drugs, one of the BBC’s first original podcasts, a show
which regularly featured in the iTunes top 12 podcasts and amassed
over half a million downloads. The series was followed by two more
commissions, Jacob Hawley’s Job Centre, and Jacob Hawley: On Love,
which both received critical acclaim and hundreds of thousands of
downloads. He is also the co-host of The Screen Rot Podcast with
Jake Farrell, which has climbed to no.1 on the UK Spotify charts
and has a loyal following of fans.

MARKUS BIRDMAN
From The Palladium to Pakistan, a highly experienced, versatile
& award winning comedian, Markus is one of stand-up’s most well
travelled comedians, much in demand in the UK and all over the
world, and one of the very first British Comics to have his own
Netflix Special - Live in Amsterdam. He has written and performed
thirteen Edinburgh Festival Solo shows, and toured Australia, New
Zealand, South Africa, India, Pakistan, Scandinavia and throughout
Europe, The Middle East and Far East. He has appeared on numerous
TV and radio shows both in the UK and abroad.
He often incorporates visual artwork & animations in his comedy
performances. He has created numerous 24 hour murals as part of the
comedian Mark Watson’s 24 hr Comedy shows, raising thousands of
pounds for Comic Relief. After attending several Art Schools, and
even managing to graduate from one, Markus became a Graffiti
Artist, Muralist, Performance Poet and Glastonbury Festival Poetry
Slam Champion. He can’t remember which year, he was fairly out of
it. But it made him think being funny on stage might just work out!
This path would eventually lead him to becoming an award winning
Stand-Up Comedian and total Don.
