GLENN MOORE

Edinburgh Comedy Award nominee Glenn Moore is a comedian, actor and one of the best and most prolific joke writers in the country.

He is a regular face on TV, having appeared on Mock The Week, Rob Delaney’s Stand Up Central  and The Stand Up Sketch Show and can also be heard daily as one quarter of The Dave Berry Breakfast Show on Absolute Radio, the UK’s biggest commercial radio breakfast show.

His critically-acclaimed stand-up show ‘Glenn, Glenn, Glenn, How Do You Like It, How Do You Like It’ was nominated for the Edinburgh Comedy Award, entirely unsurprising as it was packed full of beautifully crafted, inventive, intelligent and very silly gags.

“The best showcase of pure joke-writing skill on the Fringe." The Guardian

“A prolific writer of clever, distinctive gags. Brilliantly original punchlines. Chortle

“This is a comedian putting others to shame. A stunningly well-crafted show." The List

“Exquisitely-crafted gags." Evening Standard

MICHAEL ODEWALE

An exceptionally smart young man with something to say, Michael Odewale’s stand up covers everything from politics to pigeons. He began performing in 2014 whilst at university and was a finalist in both the Chortle Student Comedy Award and the BBC New Comedy Award.

A fresh and unfiltered voice known for delivering sharp, slick and beautifully executed content, Odewale is taking the comedy world by storm. His debut show #BlackBearsMatter won Best Show at both the 2019 Leicester and Hastings Comedy Festivals and achieved critical acclaim at the Edinburgh Fringe 2019, earning him a nomination for Best Newcomer in the Dave Edinburgh Comedy Awards.

Most recently he has been seen on The Mash Report, Chris Ramsey’s Stand Up Central and The Stand Up Sketch Show, as well as his own mini-sketch show Comedians in Quarantine on Comedy Central.

“An engagingly sardonic wit.” Chortle

CHLOE PETTS

Chloe Petts’ “inexhaustibly funny mind” (Diva Magazine) and “compelling presence” (Chortle) has established her as one of the most exciting new acts on the circuit.

Chloe is an alumna of the prestigious Pleasance Comedy Reserve, has been shortlisted for the BBC Comedy Award, was a finalist in the most recent Leicester Square New Comedian of the Year Awards and came runner-up in the Funny Women Awards 2017.  She has also appeared on Channel 4’s Random Acts and BBC 3 Quickies.

She is a co-founder of The Lol Word, a queer comedy collective that hosts sell-out monthly London nights, boasting the finest female and non-binary queer acts on the circuit. Their most recent Edinburgh run was a sell-out. It won't be long before Chloe's solo shows follow suit.

ANDREA HUBERT

Winner of the BAFTA Rocliffe New Writing Award and with an exciting new sit-com in development, Andrea is one of the finest new writers in the country at the moment, specialising in deliciously dark and transgressive material that will have you laughing despite yourself.

“A keen writing skill…archly cynical attitude…her slick, fluid set is rich with inventive, sarcastic gags hung round an intriguing personality.” Chortle

AND YOUR RESIDENT HOST:

BEN VAN DER VELDE

One of the quickest wits around and a much-loved compere, he always brings a jam-packed back of nonsense, silliness and wisecracks to every gig he hosts.

"Wonderfully improvised riffs showcasing his impressive spontaneity and sharp tongue." Edinburgh Festivals Magazine

“The perfect comedy club host – he is a master of audience interaction. The audience weren’t just warmed up, but pretty hysterical even before the first act of the night hit the stage.”  Huffington Post
