TONY LAW

Tony Law is a three-time Chortle Award winner, Amused Moose Best Show winner and Fosters Edinburgh Comedy Award nominee. His extensive TV and radio credits include: Have I Got News For You, 8 Out Of 10 Cats, Celebrity Mastermind (BBC One), Never Mind The Buzzcocks and Infinite Monkey Cage. His comedy brain is completely and utterly unique, something approaching an Appalachian Vic & Bob, if they'd spent five years reading ancient Roman history and old copies of the Beano.

“One of stand-up’s premier goons, heroically committed to nonsense, knight errant of the dizzy non-sequitur.” The Guardian

“Chaos has rarely been so finely constructed and this much fun.” The Times

“I can’t recommend this show highly enough. Tremendous comedy. Really great.” Tony Law

VICTOR PATRASCAN

Victor Pãtrãşcan is a superb stand up comedian and outrageous social commentator who was born in Romania. Since April 2021 he has been touring his stand up comedy show “the Dirty Immigrant” throughout Europe. In 2019 and 2020, he traveled through Europe with his show called “The Trouble with Being Born Romanian” in over 30 cities. During the same years, he topped the charts at No1 in the rankings of ”Roast Battle London”. Earlier this year, Victor was a special guest on the Romanian TV show iUmor where he provoked and scared religious people throughout the country.

A sense of dark mischief with a winning attitude.” Chortle

NIC SAMPSON

Nic Sampson is a comedian, actor, improviser and writer originally from New Zealand.

As an actor, Nic portrayed popular character D.C. Sam Breen in New Zealand detective drama The Brokenwood Mysteries, which airs in 17 countries including the UK, where it is one of UKTV’s most successful programmes. He has also appeared in the BBC3/HBO Max series Starstruck aand featured in films including Netflix’s The Breaker Upperers and Baby, Done, which was executive produced by Taika Waititi.

At the New Zealand International Comedy Festival, Nic won Best Newcomer, returning the following year to earn a nomination for the Billy T Award which recognises New Zealand comedians with oustanding potential. The next year his show was nominated for Best New Zealand Show (Fred Award), the highest honour at the festival, making him one of the fastest rising stand-ups in New Zealand.

MARISE GAUGHAM

An exciting name in the world of stand-up comedy, Irish comic Marise Gaughan is making waves with her dark and honest comedy style. Marise started her comedy career in Los Angeles, where she featured on some of the main comedy clubs such as The Comedy Store and The Hollywood Improv. Since returning to the UK, the Dublin-based comic has become a favourite in all the major comedy clubs and has supported Rob Delaney, Ari Shaffir and Jim Norton on tour.

AND YOUR RESIDENT HOST:

BEN VAN DER VELDE

One of the quickest wits around and a much-loved compere, he always brings a jam-packed back of nonsense, silliness and wisecracks to every gig he hosts.

"Wonderfully improvised riffs showcasing his impressive spontaneity and sharp tongue." Edinburgh Festivals Magazine

“The perfect comedy club host – he is a master of audience interaction. The audience weren’t just warmed up, but pretty hysterical even before the first act of the night hit the stage.”  Huffington Pos
