NEIL DELAMERE

Award-winning comedian Neil Delamere is one of the top acts working in the Irish comedy scene today, well known to audiences for his regular television appearances on RTE and the BBC as well as his hilarious sell-out stand up tours.

His deft turn of phrase, astonishing verbal dexterity and lightning fast wit have made him a formidable act on the stage and media. He continues to tour extensively at home and internationally, with appearances at the Kilkenny Cat Laughs, the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and the Montreal Just For Laughs Festival (from which he presented the RTE television series covering the event) to name just a few. He is also a regular panellist on BBC 5 Live's Fighting Talk and recently appeared on BBC 4's The News Quiz.

“You’ll be hard-pressed to find a more gifted comic at the Fringe." The Scotsman

“No TV camera could accurately measure the lightning speed of Delamere’s wit.” The Irish Times

ED NIGHT

Ed is a prodigious talent and one the youngest stars of the UK comedy circuit. In 2017 he was nominated for the Edinburgh Comedy Awards' Best Newcomer.

In 2018 he sold out his entire Edinburgh run and then went on to host Radio1's 'Ed and Lauren' show.  There is a prodigious comedy brain behind his baby-faced looks, making Ed a superb natural storyteller, unafraid to tackle tricky and taboo topics in search of huge laughs.

“Bold, fearless, full of moral certitude, and crucially, funny...the kind of comic that you need to come along every now and then, someone who makes an enemy of complacency.” Chortle

“By the end of his refreshingly different show, you are left with a sneaking suspicion that you may have seen one of the future stars of British comedy.” iNews

SUKH OJLA

Sukh is a comedian, actor and writer.  She regularly performs stand up around London and the UK, including performances at the Alchemy Festival, BBc 2's Big Asian Stand up and BBC Asian Network’s sold out show at the Watford Palace Theatre.

“Ojla’s warmth and enthusiasm which keeps you invested in her adventure.” The Skinny

JOEY PAGE

Joey is what you get right at the centre of the Venn diagram made up of wide-eyed surrealists, Brightonian hipsters and Cockney geezers.  He’s been a winkle-picker wearing treasure of the circuit for a decade, delighting audiences with bizarre flights of fantasy mixing the sublime and the mundane.

“Brilliant – controlled chaos at its best.” Harry Hill

“A head like a fantasy hand grenade.” Noel Fielding

STEPHANIE LAING

Goofy and peculiar, Stephanie Laing’s comedy is partway between the needy oddness of Maria Bamford and the upbeat affability of Josie Long. Her material is a mix of silliness, filth and unusual observations, underpinned by a disarming honesty which makes her seem charmingly vulnerable.

“Truly commanded the crowd. Disgusting and delightful in equal measure. She is definitely one to watch.” Three Weeks

AND YOUR RESIDENT HOST:

BEN VAN DER VELDE

Freshly returned from the Edinburgh Festival, Ben is ready to take the helm at Good Ship once more and steer it through the vast ocean of comedy we have on offer.  One of the quickest wits around and a much-loved compere, he always brings a jam-packed back of nonsense, silliness and wisecracks to every gig he hosts.

"Sharp and crafty gagsmith, a life-giving compere." Chortle

"Wonderfully improvised riffs showcasing his impressive spontaneity and sharp tongue." Edinburgh Festivals Magazine

“The perfect comedy club host – he is a master of audience interaction. The audience weren’t just warmed up, but pretty hysterical even before the first act of the night hit the stage.”  Huffington Post
