KIRI PRITCHARD-MCLEAN

Welsh Comedian Kiri Pritchard-Mclean has been making something of a name for herself in the short time she's being performing stand up comedy and has achieved further success as one fourth of multi-award winning sketch group Gein's Family Giftshop (in capacity as writer/director) and through her wildly popular podcast All Killa, No Filla.

A unique and assured comic voice, Kiri is whipsmart with material to match. An apprenticeship on the North West comedy scene has equipped Kiri with a presence beyond her years and the rare ability to be challenging in her material without alienating her audience. She has recently appeared on BBC Radio 4's The Now Show and Russell Howard's Stand-Up Central and has just won the awards for Chortle's Best Club Comic and Best Compere.

"The kind of sensibilities that would unsettle even the darkest of League of Gentleman fans.” ★★★★★ The Sunday Times

“An increasingly impressive comic, making powerhouse stand-up from the thorniest of subjects.” The Guardian

“Best described as ‘darkness wrapped in glitter’ as she delivers some brutal jokes with a disarming smile.” Chortle

NIGEL NG

Nigel Ng is a Malaysian stand-up comedian based in London. He made his TV debut in 2018 on Comedy Central in Rob Delaney’s Stand Up Central, shortly followed by Roast Battle.

He had an incredible debut run at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival this year with his sell out show Culture Shocked, and to top it off, he was nominated for the prestigious Best Newcomer award.

Slick, smart, charming, accessible and offering up a set heavily seasoned with punchlines, he’s becoming a hit all over the UK.

“Holds the stage with smiling ease and impressive skill.” The Times

“Slick and suave... charmingly assured debut.” The Scotsman

“If Malaysia has been on the lookout for its very own Jerry Seinfeld, then there's a good chance Nigel Ng could eventually be the man for that job.” The List

JOSH JONES

Ultra working class and totally adorable, Josh Jones is a high-energy performer who wins the audience over from the off. This super camp Manchester lad, can tackle a range of subjects from school yard politics to gay rights in Pakistan. Josh is able to improvise on the fly creating razor sharp observations, he is playful with the audience often leaving them wanting more of his brilliant, superbly delivered writing. Josh started comedy in the North West playing tough rooms to scary old drunk men, his flamboyant persona made him a easy target. However, this made Josh the strong comedian that he is today, a comic who can have the audience in the palm of his hands whilst also being able to beautifully disarm any heckler with his quick wit and cute but powerful put downs.

"He has a very engaging personality, and a back – story that should keep in routines for years to come." Chortle

SAM FLETCHER

Sam Fletcher is an actor, writer and comedian. His charming, quirky brand of comedy landed him a nomination for the Edinburgh Comedy Award, and he continues to perform regularly on the comedy circuit.

“Put simply no other show has made me smile so much this year.” The Independent

LULU POPPLEWELL

Lulu was a finalist for the Chortle Student Comedy Award and Leicester Square Theatre New Comedian of the Year Award.

She has been described as "scorching, charismatic, refreshingly free" (Marbles Magazine) and "a definite rising star on the circuit" (Fountain).

AND YOUR RESIDENT HOST:

BEN VAN DER VELDE

One of the quickest wits around and a much-loved compere, he always brings a jam-packed back of nonsense, silliness and wisecracks to every gig he hosts.

"Sharp and crafty gagsmith, a life-giving compere." Chortle

"Wonderfully improvised riffs showcasing his impressive spontaneity and sharp tongue." Edinburgh Festivals Magazine

“The perfect comedy club host – he is a master of audience interaction. The audience weren’t just warmed up, but pretty hysterical even before the first act of the night hit the stage.”  Huffington Post
