The Colonel Fawcett pub, in the back streets of Camden, has built up an incredible reputation since its inception (on the site of The Camden Arms est. 1845) in 2011. One of Camden's few independent free houses, we're proud to offer a great array of 19 beers on draft, over 100 gins and a fantasticselection…

Description
CARL DONNELLY
TWO TIME EDINBURGH COMEDY AWARD NOMINEE
Carl is one of the finest storytellers on the circuit - his shows are full of freewheeling whimsy and affable daftness, plus you're never more than 20 seconds away from a killer punchline!
Carl started performing stand-up in 2005 and quickly established himself as one of the UK’s most exciting young comedians. His conversational, silly sense of humour saw him win a host of awards (Chortle Best Newcomer 2007, Leicester Mercury Comedian of the Year 2007 among others) and become a regular at all of the finest comedy clubs in the UK and Ireland.
In 2009, Carl performed his debut solo show Relax Everyone, it’s Carl Donnelly! at the Edinburgh Fringe for which he was nominated for the Edinburgh Comedy Award for Best Newcomer. Since then, Carl has returned to Edinburgh with three further solo shows, including his 2013 Fosters Comedy Award nominated one.
Recently, Carl has been developing as an international act, with a successful tour of Australia and New Zealand in 2013 and a second in 2015, as well as performing at the biggest comedy festivals in the world (Montreal Just for Laughs, Melbourne International Comedy Festival, Sydney Comedy Festival, Kilkenny Cat Laughs etc).
“Donnelly has developed a style that is the antithesis of the loud, sweaty, manic comic so prevalent on the telly and live tours at the moment. This is stand up with valium: near horizontal levels of louche that take the mundane stories of everyday life and turns them into stretches of self deprecating silliness.” The Guardian
“Excellent, fast-rising comic with pacy anecdotal routines.” Sunday Times
NICO YEARWOOD
Originally from the tropical island of Barbados, Nico has been setting the London comedy circuit alight with his unique blend of Caribbean flavoured comedy. Whether he is delivering hilarious stories about growing up in Barbados or his new life in London, his laid back style and charm immediately win audiences over and leave them wanting more.
“Instinctive likability and an appealing spark in his natural performance.” Chortle
CHLOE PETTS
As heard on Radio Four Xtra, Chloe Petts has been a regular on the stand up circuit for two years. She is the founder of established London nights, Joy Multiplication and Starfish Loves Comedy. Member of the Soho Young Company, Chloe has had two runs at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, with the most recent one as part of queer comedy collective The Lol Word.
In her spare time, Chloe can be found watching football and being hungover.
HANNAH SILVESTER
Hannah is a comic with a no-holds barred agenda: make you laugh at any cost, no matter what she tells you about her family life. Her set combines frank and honest stand up comedy with a warm delivery and the occasional comedy song thrown into the mix.
“She’s a woman with alot of attitude, and a way of expressing it that is often viciously, hilariously blunt. She revels in her bad parenting, is withering about sexist behaviour, and frank about ageing – all delivered with a compelling surety.” Chortle
JOHN ASHMORE
John is an incredibly new stand-up who we watched win the infamous King Gong show at the Comedy Store. His modest appearance belies a formidable comedy brain that can turn all sorts from growing up as a Quaker to verging on blindness and the finer points of the McDonald's menu into finely minted comedy routines.
AND YOUR RESIDENT HOST:
BEN VAN DER VELDE
Standing a statuesque five foot five inches high (not in heels) and weighing in at eleven stone (on a good day) Ben is the current light-middleweight contender for compering champion of North London.
"Sharp and crafty gagsmith, a life-giving compere." Chortle
"Wonderfully improvised riffs showcasing his impressive spontaneity and sharp tongue." Edinburgh Festivals Magazine
“The perfect comedy club host – he is a master of audience interaction. The audience weren’t just warmed up, but pretty hysterical even before the first act of the night hit the stage.” Huffington Post
