Starting his stand-up career in 2011, Adam showed himself to be one of the most exciting new acts in the country, winning the Chortle Student Comedy Award and taking a runner-up place in Leicester Square Theatre New Act of the Year award that same year. He originally became known for his surreal one-liners however later went on to prove himself as an accomplished story-teller and sketch-writer. He was later nominated for Chortle Best Newcomer and Leicester Mercury New Act Of The Year.

A prolific writer; Adam has also become widely known for his unique brand of comedy on Twitter and in the last two years has accrued tens of thousands of followers from the jokes he posts there alone. The BBC even filmed a selection of his tweets as sketches starring him as one of their ‘Feed My Funny’ videos. He has also written for such TV regulars as Seann Walsh and Chris Ramsey.

In 2013 a tweet by Adam was voted funniest of the year by The Telegraph.

Jim is a stand up, writer and actor. His 2 solo hours at Edinburgh played to sold out houses and critical acclaim and his debut was named one of the Top 10 EdFringe shows in the Amused Moose/2Entertain Laughter Awards. Jim has written for ESPN and Russell Howard’s Good News (BBC3) and his podcast, The Football Ramble has won 7 awards, has over 80,000 listeners and recently packed fans into venues up and down the country on their inaugural tour.

TOM HOUGHTON

Comedian, musician and presenter, Tom Houghton is a natural comic talent. A former member of improv comedy group The Noise Next Door, Tom was raised amongst the height of the British Upper Class, he attended boarding school from 6 years old, his father is the ex-professional head of the entire UK Armed forces and he currently resides in The Tower of London… so naturally, a career in comedy beckoned! Funny and charming, with roguish tales and hilarious songs, Tom Houghton is star on the rise.  Most recently, Tom was named a finalist in the 2017 Leicester Mercury Comedian of the Year Awards and went on to take his eagerly awaited debut solo hour, ‘Class Half Empty’ to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival this August, selling out the entire run within in the first week and adding extra shows due to popular demand.

ALISON THEA-SKOT

Alison Thea-Skot is a critically acclaimed actress, comedian, writer and improviser. Nominated for Best Actress at The 2014 British Independent Film Festival for her role in the short film ‘Desire’, Alison has worked extensively from Shakespeare’s Globe to Basil Brush for the BBC. She recently starred in So On & So Forth’s four part sketch show series for BBC Radio 4 & The Comedy Unit.  As an improviser she currently guests with Chortle award winners Austentatious: The Improvised Jane Austen Novel. She is also a member of 5 star improv super group The Free Association.

As a solo character comedian she launched on to the circuit and within a year was a Finalist in both The Funny’s Funny and Funny Women Competitions. She has since taken two solo character comedy shows to The Edinburgh Fringe Festival, where she received raved reviews, was selected as part of The Telegraph’s Best of the Fringe, Mervyn Stutter’s Pick of the Fringe and featured on The BBC Culture Show.

Good Ship Comedy is Camden Town's newest, friendliest stand-up comedy club, located at The Colonel Fawcett pub.  If you want to start the week with cheap, cheerful top quality laughs, we're the place for you! "A JOY TO GIG IN AND A JOY TO WATCH PERFORMERS GIG IN.” Aisling Bea (8 Out of 10 Cats, Live at the Apollo) Every Monday night we put on ace shows featuring top headliners from the UK and international circuit plus some of the best award-winning new talent, all compered by our resident host Ben Van der Velde.   Tickets are £5 in advance and £7 on the door.
