Out With The Bleach, In With The Booze

Bleach has always been more than just a hair salon. Sure, they’re rightly considered one of the best places to get your barnet tamed on the Kingsland Road, but the venue’s easy-going atmosphere has also seen it host its fair share of impromptu after-parties down the years too. Now you’ll be able to stop by even when the mane is in great shape, as they’ve opened a pop-up bar a few doors down.

Step inside and you’ll find exuberant cocktails high on your itinerary. Natural, exciting ingredients are thrown together to create concoctions like the Wonky Direction (lemon, whiskey bourbon & egg white) and the Ratmilk (Kahlua, vodka and almond milk) and there’s plenty of bar snacks to have a munch on too.

Interiors come from celebrated designer David White, who has masterminded a “blade runner-esque, psychedelic acid trip with a nod to the Void’s Asian clubbing and City visuals.” Nice and clear? Good.

Discover the Bleach Pop-Up Bar at 428 Kingsland Road, E8 4AA between Thursday and Saturday, 6pm until 2am. It started on Thursday 14th August and will run for a total of ten weeks.
