London’s first Cheese Afternoon Tea returns to Georgian House

Cheese Afternoon Tea returns

Georgian House offers visitors the chance to indulge in London's cheesiest afternoon tea.

You better brie-lieve it! London’s cheesiest afternoon tea is back for gouda. Pimlico’s own Georgian House is giving the capital's cheese-lovers something to really sink their teeth into.

The five-star Georgian House offers visitors the chance to not only stay in Harry Potter-esque wizard chambers, but is also home to the cheesiest afternoon tea London has to offer. In the cozy setting of Pimlico Pantry, guests can pull up a chair and experience some of the finest cheeses from an array of British farmers.

Initially introduced as a pop-up, the cheesy afternoon tea has become a permanent fixture by popular demand. Every day from 2:30 pm - 5pm, guests can indulge in both sweet and savoury cheeses including potted stilton, smoked cheddar Welsh rarebit, sheep’s cheese, blu’ 61 drunk cheese, raspberries mascarpone, and goat’s cheese mousse. All of these are served along with both cheddar and thyme scones, and blue cheese scones with chutney and apple slices.

With a focus on locally-sourced products and championing British farmers, the cheeses have been hand-picked from award-winning suppliers such as High Weald Dairy from West Sussex, Borough Market’s own Drunk Cheese and specialist cheesemonger Cheese Plus from Cambridge.

To wash it all down with, there is the option to add bottomless prosecco or indulge in a fine selection of wines from British vineyards along with Sussex’s own Silly Moo Cider.

The Cheese Afternoon Tea is available from 3rd September between 2:30 pm and 5pm Monday - Friday for £40pp or Saturday and Sunday for £45pp, with the option for a drinks flight for £15pp and bottomless prosecco for £20.  Georgian House at 35 - 39 St. George's Drive, Pimlico, SW1V 4DG.
