Save The Date: Bunga Bunga Covent Garden Is Hosting A Huge Immersive Toga Party

Bunga Bunga My Big Phat Roman Wedding

A selection of Ikea's finest thread count.

Imagine getting to attend a big ol’ knees up wedding complete with the best bits only. All the juicy family fall-outs, all the sumptuous feasting and all the floor-filling tunes, but none of the hassle of trying to find a plus one, or the awkward explanations to your Great Aunt Sybil as to what your job in influencer marketing actually means.

Oh, and you get to wear a toga.

That’s pretty much what the legendary party people at Bunga Bunga Covent Garden are offering. Their My Big Phat Roman Wedding bash takes place every Thursday and the premise is (forgive us those of you with a Classics degree) that poor old Valentina’s fiancé is killed in a gladiator battle the day before they’re due to wed - MAJOR bummer. But, being the trooper she is, the show goes on, with a battle between Minimus and Maximus for her hand.

An immersive party ensues complete with an Italian-style four-course feast, metre-long sourdough pizzas and tonnes of bonkers Balotelli-shaped cocktails. A full 360 experience, the West-End restaurant features a life-size boat, authentic Roman statues and a reproduction of the Trevi Fountain in the loos, naturally.

My Big Phat Roman Wedding takes place at Bunga Bunga Covent Garden (167 Drury Ln, Holborn, London WC2B 5PG) every Thursday. Tickets start at £40 and include the four-course celebrazion feasting menu.
